Shirley M. O'Donnell, 72, of Albuquerque, N.M., died Saturday at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born March 18, 1935, in Butler County to Russell and Helen Moore.

Mrs. O'Donnell was a member of the Compassionate Friends of Albuquerque and was a participant in The Infinite Way for several years.

Surviving are her husband, Charles W. O'Donnell, whom she married Sept. 13, 1955, in Cumberland, Md.; a son, Charles O'Donnell Jr. and his partner, Shirley Hall, of Las Cruces, N.M.; her grandchildren, Charles III (Barbara), Gerald, Kevin, Justin and Amy O'Donnell; seven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Caitlin, Charles IV and Christopher O'Donnell and Davina, Emily and Sophie O'Donnell; sisters, Dolores Shumaker of Fairview and Nancy Sequete and her husband, Dick, of Butler; a brother, Russell Moore and his wife, Charlotte Butler, of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Douglas O'Donnell, who died May 14, 1980.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary chapel.
