Laverne Katherine Sanner Parsons, 41, of Atlanta, Ga., entered into rest Thursday.

She was the wife of David R. Parsons.

Mrs. Parsons was a very dedicated Army wife and mother. She graduated from Laurel Highlands High School in Uniontown in 1987 and had a passion for being a baseball mom.

Mrs. Parsons also was a member of the Church of Christ.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include a son, Derek Parsons; sisters, Elma Pavelek and her husband, Machan, of Center Township, Mary Jeffers, and Olive Bigley and her husband, Joel; brothers, Kenny Sanner and his wife, Robin, Chuck Sanner and his wife, Roxanne, and Arthur Sanner Jr. and his wife, Ruby; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mabel Sanner.
