Seneca Valley golf too much for Beaver; Butler boys, girls lose: Roundup

Four Seneca Valley golfers came in under 40 as the Raiders topped Beaver 185-225 at Cranberry Highlands on Tuesday.

Shooting 36s for SV were Jacob Wallace, Lucas Barber and Josh Marquardt. Evan Hock added a 37 in the victory.

North Allegheny 184, Butler 191 — The Golden Tornado (2-1, 0-1) lost this match at North Park.

Leading the way for Butler were Levi McClellan (37), Karsten Lenyk (38) and Eli Snyder (38).

Jake Hendrick carded a 35 for the Tigers.

District 10, Region 2 — At Oak Tree Country Club, Slippery Rock’s Drake Kreutz shot a 75 to finish in a four-way tie for second place, two strokes behind Hickory’s Maddox Burke.

Hickory placed first out of six teams with 305 strokes. Slippery Rock was third at 317.

The Rockets also received a 78 from Ryan Parson.

Riverview 213, Freeport 218 — The Yellowjackets (0-1) received a 41 from Max Zigo and Trey Schreckengost at Oakmont Country Club.

KSAC Mega Match #2 — In a rare 18-hole competition at Hi-Level Golf Course, A-C Valley/Union’s Joe Rapp shot 71 to finish runner-up, four strokes behind Keystone’s Sean Karg.

Karns City’s Liam Hobaugh shot 76 to place third. Moniteau’s Jake Long had a 78 to tie for seventh.

Girls golf

Moniteau’s 163 as a team was good enough to take the KSAC Mega Match at Foxburg Country Club.

Hayden Hilliard (52), Kennedy Sullivan (54) and Gabby Shearer (57) scored for the Warriors.

Pine-Richland 164, Butler 234 — This decision at Hiland Golf Course dropped the Golden Tornado to 0-2 on the season.
