Kathleen Adamek

Kathleen E. (Cuddyre) Adamek, 75, of Butler, formerly of Gibsonia, died peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026.

She was the beloved wife of the late Carl J. Adamek; loving mother of Amanda (David) Bixler and stepmother to Ken (Stacy) Adamek, Rick (Erin) Adamek, Karin (Myron) Slota, Jim (Gayle) Adamek, Kevin (the late Angie) Adamek and Gary (Donna) Adamek; sister of Michael (Mary) Cuddyre and Marty (Molly) Cuddyre; proud grandmother of Carleigh, Cassidy, Erica, Ashton, Chase, Trey, Tate, Larissa, Nathan, Matthew, Jessica, Ashley, Kelsy, Dylan, Keyern, Colin, Kerri, Jaqi, Lauren, Tara, Drew and J.C.; cherished great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren; and dear aunt to Christine Cuddyre and many additional nieces and nephews.

Kathie was a longtime administrative assistant with Peoples Natural Gas Company for 30 years. There, her path crossed with her beloved Carl, and their young love never wavered, no matter the decade. They enjoyed many winters in Florida, visiting friends, family and Disney. Throughout her battle with cancer, she remained courageous and kept her strong wit and sense of humor.

Family and friends remained as unyielding pillars in her life. Once you were in her corner, there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for those she loved. Whether it was spoiling her dog, Minnie, or her granddaughter, Carleigh, talking with her friends on Facebook, making others laugh or always finding an excuse to go antiquing with her daughter, Amanda, she found ways to enjoy the small moments that brought her joy.

She will forever remain “pretty, precious and perfect.”

ADAMEK — There will be no public visitation for Kathleen E. (Cuddyre) Adamek, who died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026.

A celebration of life service remembering Kathie will be held at a future date.

In place of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
