Armstrong

Mary Etta Armstrong, 87, of Butler died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 2, 1921, in Mount Chestnut, she was the daughter of Clarence O. Miller and Margaret Shields Miller.

She was a member of Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church. She also belonged to the YMCA Mother's Club and Butler Baseball Mother's Auxiliary. She bowled in the Coffee League and volunteered for the Butler Memorial Hospital Women's Auxiliary. She worked for the Election Board of Butler County and at the Bantam factory during World War II. She was an avid card player.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Marcia) Cornibe of Butler; one son, Terry Armstrong of Butler; two grandchildren, Amy Monteleone of Butler and Matt and his wife, Melissa, Monteleone of Butler; two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Nicolas Monteleone of Butler; one sister, Alice Miller of Butler; and one brother, George Arthur Miller of Lancaster Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Armstrong, who died March 15, 1989, one brother, and two sisters.
