Rudolph C. Pensy
Rudolph C. "Rudy" Pensy, 85, of Beaver Falls passed away at 7:05 p.m. Friday at Ellwood City Hospital.
He was born April 28, 1923, in Clay Township. He was the son of the late John Pensy and Mary Agnes Vedrih Pensy.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II.
He and his brother, Louis, owned and operated the Pensy Brothers Alignment Service in Beaver Falls from 1946 to 1996.
He played the banjo with S.N.P.J. and passed his appreciation of music on to his three sons.
He was a lifetime member of the North Sewickley Volunteer Fire Department for more than 40 years.
He is survived by three sons, David C. Pensy of Magnolia, Ohio, Jerald A. Pensy of Beaver and Craig S. Pensy of Ellwood City; one granddaughter, Alison Pensy; two grandsons, Steven and Derek Pensy; and two sisters, Betty Wike of Harrisville and Nancy Jane Oesterling of Butler.
He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
<B>PENSY</B> — Friends of Rudolph C. "Rudy" Pensy, who died Friday, March 27, 2009, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. A blessing service will follow at 2 p.m. with Father Harry Bielewicz officiating. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.The family suggests memorial donations be made to the North Sewickley Volunteer Fire Department, Municipal Building, 893 Mercer Road, Beaver Falls, PA 15010.
