Arthur William Minor

Arthur William Minor, 72, of Gulf Breeze, Fla., died Feb. 16 at his home.

He graduated from Penn Township High School and had proclaimed in his high school yearbook his dream to own an air conditioning business in Florida and have a palm tree in his front yard.

Mr. Minor was a licensed plumbing contractor and a stationary engineer boiler operator-unlimited, and he was the owner of Gulf Breeze Appliance Repair since 1971. He also had been a conductor and brakeman for the Bessemer and Lake Erie Railroad, a patrol officer for the Las Vegas Police Department and an "Oil King," Navy petty officer, on the destroyer USS Weis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Minor, and a brother, John Richard Minor.

He was the father of John G. Minor, general contractor of Gulf Breeze, his wife, Gina Minor, and their children, Adam Soulliere Minor, John G. Minor II and Grace Megan Minor; a son, Daniel Albert Minor, a chief in the Navy currently stationed in Japan, his wife, Rebecca Stuart Minor; his former wife, Julia Nolan Minor of Gulf Breeze; his sisters, Helen Valletto and Mary Walsh; and many loved nieces, nephews and other relatives.

<B>MINOR</B> — A graveside service for Arthur William Minor, who died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, was Friday at the Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, Fla. A celebration of life followed at the home of Julia Minor Cozad.Arrangements were handled by the <B>FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME</B>, Pensacola, Fla.
