4:31 p.m. Thursday — John M. Boley, 40, was arrested after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend, 37-year-old Autumn L. Martin, at the couple's home in the 100 block of College Street.Police got to the home and found Martin and her 7-week-old daughter. Boley was gone. Martin suffered minor injuries in the suspected assault.She said that before Boley left he threatened to “burn the house down” with Martin and her children in it, according to a police report. Martin's two other daughters were not home at the time.Police later found Boley at the St. Paul's School lot on Locust Street. He claimed he was defending himself when he struck Martin, the police report said. He is charged with terroristic threats and simple assault.Thursday — Police reported that Douglas M. McBride, 27, of Oakland Township was cited for hit-and-run stemming from a crash about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Penn and South Monroe streets.McBride is the suspected driver who did not stop after his sport utility vehicle hit a car driven by John Kramer. Police on Wednesday issued a news release seeking information about the accident.On Thursday, police received information that the suspected hit-and-run vehicle was at an auto body shop in East Brady, Clarion County. The shop's owner identified McBride.Police later called the suspect, who admitted wrongdoing. He said he “panicked and fled because (his) vehicle is registered to his mother and he did not want her insurance to be affected,” according to a police report.
10:44 p.m. Tuesday — Daniella M. Logsdon, 26, of Butler lost control of her car and slid into a yard in the 200 block of Evans City Road. Police cited Logsdon for driving without a license.
Wednesday — Police cited a teenager with three counts of furnishing alcohol to minors stemming from an incident on Oct. 27. Police did not identify the 17-year-old suspect.11 a.m. Saturday — A blue jeans purse was taken from a vehicle parked at the Save-A-Lot grocery store on Mill Street. Police said a wallet that was in the purse was later found. The wallet was missing about $65. The purse was not recovered.Harrisville Police3:45 p.m. Wednesday — Lawrence J. Foley, no age given, of Tionesta, Forest County, faces a criminal charge for allegedly altering an inspection sticker on his vehicle that police stopped on North Main Street.
7:01 a.m. Thursday — Lacey I. McCarty, 18, of Cranberry Township was hurt in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. McCarty, one of the drivers, was taken to Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh with moderate injuries.A 17-year-old girl riding in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. Police did not identify the girl. She and McCarty were wearing seat belts. Brian W. Christy, 40, of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, was the other driver.Police said McCarty was cited for a stop sign violation.8:01 p.m. Wednesday — Brian P. Morgan, 35, of Pittsburgh was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his car in a gravel parking lot at Moraine State Park on Isle Road in Franklin Township.Wednesday — Money was reported taken from the purse of a 94-year-old resident at the Newhaven assisted living facility in Center Township. A family member told police that $60 in currency was stolen between Feb. 22 and Wednesday.
Wednesday — Alexander M. Libecco, 23, of East Brady was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs after he was stopped for speeding on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township.Additionally, police arrested Libecco's passenger, Sean D. Scisly, 47, of East Brady, on drug charges after they found him with 90 prescription painkillers.
11:39 p.m. Wednesday — Joshua L. Leach, 36, of Grove City was arrested after he allegedly punched and choked 31-year-old Jessica Benhaida of Grove City during a domestic dispute at the Glen Lake Estates Mobile Home Park in Pine Township. Leach, who is charged with simple assault and harassment, is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.4:42 p.m. Wednesday — Only four hours after assaulting two troopers, police said, an Ohio man punched a corrections officer at the Mercer County Jail. Salvatore Scavone, 47, is accused of hitting the guard in the head and face area.He was arraigned on a charge of felony assault and returned to the jail. He is being held on $150,000 bail on charges in both suspected attacks.Police about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday arrested Scavone after he allegedly punched one trooper in the face and shoved the other one to the ground while attempting to flee Grove City Medical Center in Pine Township.The suspect was subdued and arrested. He is charged in that incident with two counts each of aggravated assault on police, simple assault and harassment.A police report did not indicate the reason Scavone was at the hospital.
