Death of 3-year-old child in Mercer County ruled homicide
Cause determined to be cocaine toxicity
The cause of death of a 3-year-old child found dead in Greenville, Mercer County, in June has been released by the coroner.
According to Mercer County Coroner John A. Libonati, the child, who was found June 27 in a Columbia Avenue home, died of cocaine toxicity, an autopsy by a forensic pathologist and investigation at the scene found.
Libonati has ruled the death a homicide.
