1:02 a.m. Wednesday — Joshua P. Luchkiw, 32, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted and threatened his father during a domestic dispute at their home on the 900 block of East Jefferson Street.

Luchkiw was arraigned on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and resisting arrest, and later placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail.

The victim, Basil Luchkiw, told police that the defendant slapped him in the face and threatened to beat him up after kicking in a bedroom door, according to court documents. He said his son had been drinking.

Police found Luchkiw in the living room. He was arrested but as officers were taking him out of the house he became “verbally combative” and refused to leave,” a police affidavit said.

He pulled away from officers and went into the rear door, causing the glass to break. Police said they eventually had to deploy a Taser to get him under control.
