Ruth Kohler Gumto, 84, of Valencia died Sunday under the care of St. John's Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born Aug. 3, 1923, in Stowe Township, she was the daughter of C. Leo and Augusta Knoll Kohler.

Mrs. Gumto loved music, cooking, and especially needle work, where she created countless beautiful creations over the years.

She was the loving mother of Bonnie S. Whitall of Mount Lebanon, and the dear sister of Annabell Smith of Valencia and Dorothy Kucia of Allentown.

Also surviving are two dear grandsons, David Whitall of Silver Springs, Md., and Jonathan (Meg Dedolph) Whitall of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Fred and Arthur Kohler.

<B>GUMTO</B> — The viewing of Ruth Kohler Gumto, who died on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, will be held in the narthex of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday.
