Anna Jane Baird (nee Olson), 87, of Bainbridge, Ohio, formerly of Butler; Hutchinson, Kan.; Sharon, and Pittsburgh, died Friday in the Arden Court Nursing Home of Bainbridge.

After graduation from Penn State in 1941, she managed Olson's Dining Room in Butler. She and her family moved to Sharon in 1954 where she was a home economist for West Penn Power.

She and her husband moved to Kansas in 1965 where she was the nutritionist for the Kansas Wheat Commission in Hutchinson until retirement in 1983.

They returned home to Butler County in 1989 and lived at Saxonburg Village. After the death of her husband, she moved to the Cleveland area to be near her daughter, Nancy.

She was the wife of the late Leonard H. Baird and mother of Elizabeth Baird, David B. Humphrey of Portland, Maine, Jane Homer (Gerald) of Boothbay, Maine, and Nancy Baird, PhD. of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, and one brother, Harry C. Olson (Sallie).

<B>BAIRD</B> — Friends of Anna Jane Baird, who died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, will be received from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the <B>BROWN-FORWARD FUNERAL HOME</B>, 17022 Chagrin Blvd., Shaker Heights, Ohio.There will be a memorial service for in the spring at the Summit Presbyterian Church in Saxonburg where Mrs. Baird was a member.Contributions may be made in her name to the VNA Hospice, 2500 E. 22nd St., Cleveland, OH 44155 or the Alzheimer's Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44120.For additional information and directions, go to www.legacy.com.
