MIDDLESEX TWP — No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash Saturday morning at Route 8 and Leslie Road.

Middlesex Township police said the wreck happened about 8:45 a.m. when a pickup truck driven by William Duncan, 65, of Saxonburg, which was traveling south on Route 8 in the center turn lane, made a left turn in front of a northbound Jeep.

Duncan’s vehicle and the Jeep driven by Theresa Baron, 60, of Summit Township collided, police said, forcing the pickup into a 26-foot box truck that was stopped on Leslie Road at the intersection. Kenny West, 24, of Pittsburgh was driving the box truck.

All three vehicles had to be towed.

The crash closed both northbound lanes. Police were able to keep traffic moving using the center turn lane.

The Middlesex Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Police said the crash investigation continues.
