East Butler man scammed by people posing as WWE wrestler
A 64-year-old East Butler man lost more than $42,000 to scammers posing as a WWE wrestler, according to state police in Kittanning.
Police said the unidentified person or group was posing as professional wrestler Rhea Ripley. The scam cost the man $42,700.
The incident occurred March 31 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, according to police.
Police said the scammed man was not cooperative with the investigation.
