Butler Police1:11 a.m. today — Lindsay N. Maples, 26, of Clay Township was arrested on three bench warrants after she turned herself in at the police station. She was later placed in the Butler County Prison.Butler County Court records show the warrants were issued in April and May after Maples failed to appear for hearings on charges in three 2015 cases: burglary, theft by unlawful taking and attempted theft by deception.1:49 a.m. Thursday — Christopher R. Hartmann Sr., 39, faces a charge of simple assault after he allegedly threw a hammer at a woman during a neighborhood dispute in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.Police said they were called to Laura Isenberg’s home stemming from an argument she had with Hartmann. The 42-year-old Isenberg told officers the quarrel was over money she loaned him, according to court documents.She said her son came out of her house after the suspect spit in her face. She recounted Hartmann threw a hammer at her and her son, documents said. The hammer narrowly missed both, she said.Police spoke to Hartmann, who acknowledged getting the hammer. But he told officers that he “just threw the hammer on the ground,” documents said.2:24 p.m. Wednesday — Robert Lee Miller, 42, of Washington Township was arrested after he resisted officers during his arrest for suspected shoplifting at the Rite Aid store on South Main Street.Miller was caught allegedly swiping a Bluetooth speaker valued at $30, according to court documents. He left the store but police found him in a vehicle in the store parking lot. Officers had to pull him out of the vehicle after he repeatedly refused to come out.But once out of the vehicle, he would not put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed, documents said. He eventually complied when police warned they were prepared to deploy their Tasers.Miller, who has three prior shoplifting arrests, was arraigned on a felony charge of retail theft and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail. Police also noted Miller was wanted on a bench warrant.3:44 p.m. Tuesday — Thomas Lee Odom, 30, no known address, was arrested after he suffered an apparent heroin overdose at an apartment in the 300 block of South Monroe Street.Police and paramedics got to the home and found Odom unresponsive in a living room chair. Medics revived him using the heroin antidote Narcan. Officers found him with two bags and 13 empty bags of suspected heroin.“Odom did admit that he shot three bags of heroin,” court documents said, “causing the overdose.”Police said they also learned that Odom was wanted on four warrants. He was arraigned on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors, and for the warrants. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.8:38 p.m. June 10 — Jonathan J. Dillingham, 22, of Connoquenessing Township made off with frozen meat and chicken items and beef jerky that he allegedly shoplifted from the Dollar General store on North Main Street.A patrol officer about 90 minutes later found Dillingham in the area of Center Avenue and Spring Street. He reeked of alcohol and was arrested, according to court documents.But before police left with the suspect, a Butler couple approached the officer and identified Dillingham as the man they had recently seen expose his genitals and urinate in a nearby back alley, documents said.Dillingham is charged with retail theft, open lewdness and public drunkenness.
Butler Twp. Police6:10 a.m. Thursday — Holly Bartlett, 47, of Butler was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a tree head-on along Delwood Road. Bartlett was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with moderated injuries to her legs.Police said the road had to be temporarily closed to allow crews to remove the wrecked car. The Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.3:05 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Corey C. Morabito, 21, of Butler rear-ended a pickup truck that was stopped on Route 8 just south of the Picklegate bridge. The collision forced the truck driven by Pamela Double-Sauers, 57, of Butler into a pickup driven by Philip Nini, 49, of Butler.Police cited Morabito for driving at an unsafe speed.
Grove City Police12:21 a.m. Wednesday — Aaron E. Nofsker, 31, allegedly assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute at his home in the 400 block of South Center Street. The woman was taken to Grove City Medical Center with unknown injuries.Police charged Nofsker with simple assault and harassment.4 a.m. Tuesday — Julian McFadden, 18, of Grove City and a 16-year-old girl were both cited for underage drinking after they showed up intoxicated at the police station on East Pine Street. Police did not identify the girl.3:26 a.m. Tuesday — A 16-year-old boy, who police did not identify, was arrested for driving under the influence at North Broad Street and Gilmore Avenue. In addition to DUI, the teen is charged with underage drinking.The suspect’s passenger, a 15-year-old boy who police did not identify, also was cited for underage drinking after officers found him drunk in the vehicle.
