These items have been collected from various police departments.

June 27 — Police charged Justin X. Selfridge, 24, of Concord Township with using another man's credit card, reportedly stolen from the victim's car on Brown Avenue, to make more than $353.89 in fraudulent purchases at three stores in March.

The victim told police March 20 that someone ransacked his vehicle overnight and stole several items, including a wallet. He also learned that a credit card in the wallet had been used three times, at different stores in the Butler area.

Butler Township's Walmart was among the stores where the card was illegally used. Police said they reviewed store surveillance video and obtained photos of the thief, which were posted on the department's Facebook page.

The posting led to several tips that identified Selfridge as the suspect, according to court documents. He is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of access device fraud.

June 27 — Tamela L. Stevens, 45, of Summit Township was charged with having crack cocaine stemming from a traffic stop earlier in the month in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street. Police said they pulled her over around 3:45 p.m. June 14 after learning she was wanted on a warrant.

A search of her purse, according to court documents, turned up a small rock of suspected crack inside a cigarette pack.

Stevens is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

10:54 p.m. June 24 — Lee R. Hockenberry, 50, of Butler, a repeat offender for driving with a suspended license, is accused of the same crime after a traffic stop in the 100 block of Third Avenue. Police said he was pulled over for having a faulty brake light.

A records check, according to court documents, found that Hockenberry has three prior convictions for driving under suspension.

He is charged with a driving with a suspended license, a third-degree misdemeanor.

10:36 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Carleigh A. Stoner, 32, of Butler struck a parked vehicle head-on on Woodbury Drive. She was cited for careless driving.10:03 a.m. Monday — Anna Osborne, 24, of Butler was injured when a truck collided with the car she was driving on Meridian Road at Whitestown Road. She was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital with a minor injury.The other driver, Miguel A. Cuadros, 51, of Butler, was not injured, but his truck had to be towed. Police cited him for failing to stop at a red light.

7:27 p.m. June 26 — Dylan C. Espersen, 18, of Cranberry Township was arrested after police said he assaulted another young man with a set of synthetic brass knuckles at EDCO Park on West Main Street in Evans City.Police were called to the park for a report of teens fighting and found Espersen leaving with two others, according to court documents. The defendant told officers that he was jumped by two men, including the alleged victim, after he went to the park to ask about stolen money.But the victim recounted being punched in the side of the head by Espersen with what he believed was brass knuckles, police said. Officers noted that the man's forehead was bloody and it appeared he had been hit with an object.The defendant, however, denied ever using or having brass knuckles.Later, an officer found a synthetic version of brass knuckles in a nearby yard, documents said. The object appeared to be made with a kind of hard resin composite.Police allege the synthetic knuckles belong to Espersen and that he used them after instigating an altercation with the victim.He is charged with possession of a prohibitive offensive weapon, simple assault, making a false report to incriminate another, tampering with physical evidence, harassment and disorderly conduct.He was arraigned June 27 and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

6:01 p.m. Saturday — Thomas H. Englebaugh, 57, of Wellsville, N.Y., lost control of his car and traveled over an embankment on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. The car ended on its passenger side.Engelbaugh, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured, but he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.6:50 a.m. June 26 — No one was injured in a three-vehicle accident in Forward Township. The crash occurred when the unknown driver of a car stopped abruptly on Route 68 while traveling south and approaching a green light at the Spithaler School Road intersection.Samantha A. Rhodes, 20, of Butler applied the brakes on her sport utility vehicle and managed to steer clear of the car, but her SUV was struck by a car driven by Melissa J. Zundel, 33, of Butler.Rhodes’ and Zundel’s vehicles had to be towed.
