7:07 a.m. Nov. 5 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Bonniebrook Road at its intersection with Great Belt Road, Jefferson Township.Police said Robert M. Linhart, 74, of Sarver, failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the crash with a vehicle driven by Antony C. Baer, 46, of Butler. The impact caused Baer's vehicle to roll onto its side.Both drivers suffered suspected minor injuries, and both were transported to Butler Memorial Hospital. Linhart was cited accordingly.6:33 a.m. Nov. 5 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on New Castle Road near its intersection with Currie Road, Muddy Creek Township.Police said Joseph P. Brophy, 64, of New Castle, made a careless left turn, causing a crash with a vehicle driven by Kristen R. Lowe, 52, of Butler.Police said both drivers suffered minor injuries, but neither was hospitalized for further treatment. Brophy was cited accordingly.9 a.m. Nov. 4 — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 South, near milemarker 99.4, Worth Township.Police said traffic was slowed for a different crash further south, but Philip R. Anderson, 55, of Emlenton, failed to slow down. Anderson's vehicle crashed into the back of a vehicle driven by Christine A. Perrine, 54, of Mercer, which then crashed into a vehicle driven by Charles W. Rodes, 73, of Grove City.Police said no one was injured in the crash, and Anderson was cited accordingly.5 p.m. Nov. 3 — Police responded to a hit-and-run crash involving property damage to a home along Buena Vista Road, Fairview Township.Police said the vehicle, possibly a sedan with grey paint and moderate front-end damage, hit the property owner's fence and fence post. Police noted the crash location was in front of the driveway for 510 Cherry Road.Police said the driver fled the scene without providing information.6:33 p.m. Nov. 1 — Police responded to a report of a theft by deception.Police said a 28-year-old Center Township man reported his credit card was used in numerous unauthorized purchases, resulting in a loss of $690.Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the barracks at 724-284-8100.Nov. 1 — Dalton R. McCord, 23, of Parker, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and three summary traffic violations following an accident involving another vehicle on Fairmont Road in Fairview Township on April 29. No one was injured.Nov. 1 — Wayne A Sweeney, 65, of Butler, was charged with simple assault and summary charges of harassment and unlawful confinement and control for allegedly punching a man who was riding his bicycle on the Butler-Freeport Trail in Summit Township and then kicking and punching him after he fell off the bike on to the ground on Sept. 20. The victim suffered two fractured ribs, police said. Sweeney told police the bike rider rode into him and fell off his bike, police said.Nov. 1 — Aaron Scott Wiemelt, 32, of Butler, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening to choke a manager at Rural King in Center Township following an argument with other employees on Aug. 4.3:45 p.m. Oct. 25 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Grove City Road, Slippery Rock Township.Police said Tyler P. Baptie, 27, of Butler, was driving south, when his vehicle crossed over into the opposing lane, left the road and hit a tree. Police said the impact caused the vehicle to spin out and roll completely, coming to rest back on its wheels.Police said Baptie was taken by ambulance for further evaluation of suspected minor injuries and would be receiving a traffic citation.Oct. 25 — Charges are pending before Magisterial District Judge Lewis Stoughton against a Butler Ambulance Service paramedic for allegedly taking nine prescription Oxycodone pills from a home in Clay Township. A female paramedic from Chicora allegedly took the pills from the home on Hall Road while she was on duty.

Nov. 4 — Sin Sin Jang, 40, unknown address, was charged with two counts of promoting prostitution as well as criminal use of a communication facility and possession of an instrument of crime after an undercover officer arranged to meet her at a hotel through an online advertisement for suspected prostitution. She allegedly asked the officer if he wanted to skip the massage after he gave her $300. She allegedly removed her clothes and laid on the bed after he agreed, according to court documents. She was committed to the county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.Nov. 4 — Mark A. Garris, 45, of Derry, was charged with felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old and criminal use of a communication facility after meeting a special agent with the Attorney General's office, who arranged the meeting while posing as a juvenile female in electronic communications with Garris. He was committed to the county prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
