9:15 a.m. June 29 — Police responded to a domestic dispute at a North Main Street home, and subsequently charged both parties involved.Police said Dayvon R. Coleman, 20, of Butler, and Montana L. Meyers, 19, of Butler, were charged with simple assault following a fight between them in the home.Police said the two are friends, who “have been intimate with one another,” and they found that the two argued before they kicked and hit each other.June 26 — Cody R. Howard, 30, of Butler, was charged with simple assault following a June 25 altercation at his First Street home.Police said Howard fled the scene after he grabbed his girlfriend by the arm and pushed her to the ground. Police said the girlfriend had scratches on her left forearm and was being treated by EMS for an ankle injury.June 26 — Larry L. Scott, 48, of Butler, was charged with false identification after a June 25 traffic stop on North Sixth Avenue in Butler.Police said Scott, a passenger, gave them a false name during the stop and a photograph from their check after the vehicle was stopped did not match his appearance. Police said once identified, they found Scott had a warrant for his arrest.June 26 — Nicholas B. Reges, 43, of Butler, was charged with simple assault following a June 26 domestic dispute on Second Street in Butler.Police said Reges fled the scene after throwing a cellphone in the face of a woman. Police said the woman had a one-inch bloody gash on her forehead.June 24 — Lance A. Flowers, 32, of Butler, was charged with possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, stemming from a June 21 traffic stop on West New Castle Street.Police said they stopped the vehicle for failing to signal a turn, among other traffic violations. Police said Flowers was a passenger in the vehicle, and he was known from previous interactions.Police said Flowers consented to a search, and they found suspected crystal meth tucked into his socks.June 24 — Ronald L. Piper, 45, of Butler, was charged with possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, stemming from a June 19 traffic stop on West New Castle Street in Butler.Police said they stopped the vehicle for traveling erratically on the road. Police said Piper was in the passenger seat. Police said Piper consented to a search, during which suspected crystal meth and drug paraphernalia was found.June 24 — Robert D. Shultz Jr., 31, of Butler, was charged with terroristic threats and simple assault, related to a June 24 domestic incident on Mercer Street in Butler.Police said they talked with Shultz's girlfriend, who said he slapped, punched and threw a cheeseburger in her face. According to police, the girlfriend also alleges Shultz threatened to slit her throat if she went to sleep and would kill her if she called police.June 24 — Travis R. Leitem, 23, of Butler, has been charged with felony drug sales as well as misdemeanors for possessing a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after he called 911 call to his home.Police said they responded to a call by Leitem, claiming to have been held at gunpoint. Police said in their investigation, they learned Leitem was selling marijuana from the home.Police said during a search, they found more than 100 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.June 24 — Two Butler men were charged for a June 1 scuffle on Jefferson Street.Charles W. Burgess Jr., 27, and Caydon Claypoole, 18, were charged with simple assault and criminal conspiracy after police said they attacked a man walking on the street.June 24 — Two people were charged stemming from an April 10 traffic stop.The driver, John L. Mohan Jr., 38, of Petrolia, and passenger, Hannah L. Steighner, 25, of Butler, were charged with possessing a controlled substance.Police said they stopped the vehicle for having a mask hanging from its rearview mirror.Police said Steighner consented to being searched, and one bundle, which is 10 stamp bags, of heroin was found in her phone case.Police said Mohan admitted to having meth in the car, which was retrieved by officers. Police said while getting the meth, they found multiple syringes, and Mohan additionally was charged with possessing that paraphernalia.June 23 — Tammy J. Jones, 49, of Butler, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, stemming from a June 10 arrest near East Walnut and Franklin streets.Police said they spotted Jones and knew she had an active arrest warrant. Police said during the arrest, they found five stamp bags of heroin.

July 1 — Megan L. Gray, 32, of Pittsburgh, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a May 1 investigation into a reckless driver in Butler Township.Police said they caught up with Gray in the Speedway parking lot. Police said field sobriety tests showed Gray was impaired, and a later blood test showed a blood-alcohol content of .295%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.July 1 — Joshua C. Barber, 22, of Cabot, has been charged with misdemeanors of stalking, harassment and selling obscene materials, related to his contact with a woman through social media.Police said Barber on multiple occasions sent unsolicited and lewd remarks, photographs and videos to a woman despite her repeated refusal to communicate with him.July 1 — Jayla R. Price, 33, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft related to items stolen May 27 from Lowe's in Butler Township.Police said Price stole a $400 vacuum.4:10 p.m. June 30 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 8 in Butler Township.Police said they cited James Armahizer, 71, of Butler, for speeding and an expired inspection following the crash. Armahizer's vehicle struck one driven by Marie Rodgers, 53, of Butler.No injuries were reported at the scene.

July 2 — Kristi L. Donahue, 39, of Saxonburg, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a May 29 vehicle crash on Driftwood Drive in Jefferson Township.Police said Donahue had left the scene of the accident, and they found her at her home. Police said field sobriety tests showed Donahue was impaired, and a later breath test showed her blood-alcohol content at .21%. In Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.July 2 — Aaron J. Sweeney, 40, of Owings Mills, Md., was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from a March 20 traffic stop Route 8 in Penn Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle because its owner, Sweeney, had a suspended driver's license. Police said Sweeney was driving, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.Police said a later blood test showed amphetamine and meth in his system at the time.June 29 — Raymond W. Priester, 53, of Butler, was charged with felony device fraud and misdemeanors of theft and possessing stolen property, related to a stolen credit card.Police said Priester picked up the lost card from the parking lot of Walmart in Butler Township. A check on the history of its usage showed six unaccounted for transactions that totaled about $1,042.Police said after his arrest Priester waived his right to an attorney and submitted a written statement admitting to the fraud.
