Wednesday — Noah D. Hall, 23, of Butler was arraigned on charges he resisted police after they say he refused to leave an apartment on Greenview Drive about 1:20 a.m. Jan. 2.Police were called by the tenant who reported a man was there and that he would not leave despite being told to do so several times. Hall told police that he was there to retrieve personal property, according to court documents. But the woman said the defendant does not live there and he had no property at the home.Officers advised Hall to leave at least four times, documents said, but he refused. When police tried to arrest him, he allegedly pulled away, causing a struggle with the officers.Hall was eventually arrested but not before one of the officers deployed his Taser in the drive-stun mode, which is when the device is placed in direct contact with the suspect.He was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest and defiant arrested, and released on his own recognizance.Dec. 23 — Police charged Brianna R. Letcher, 27, of Summit Township with drugged driving stemming from a July two-vehicle crash on the 400 block of Morton Avenue. No injuries were reported in the wreck about 9 a.m. July 21, but both vehicle were badly damaged and had to be towed.Police eventually took Letcher to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test that indicated the presence of amphetamine, marijuana and benzodiazepine in her system, according to court documents. She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving on the left side of the road and careless driving.1:48 p.m. Dec. 21 — David R. Camp Jr., 31, allegedly strangled and assaulted a woman during a domestic dispute at his home on the 200 block of Third Street. Police later obtained a felony arrest warrant for him.The victim told police that Camp punched her in the head and used his hands to strangle her to the point that she was unable to breathe and felt like she was going to pass out, according to court documents. Police said the right side of the woman's face was covered in blood, and she was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries.The injuries, police said, included a facial cut, facial and scalp contusions and neck strain. The victim received five stitches on her face.Camp is charged with a felony count of strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault.

6:27 p.m. Jan. 5 — Shomari Cleary-Kojo, 21, of Slippery Rock was allegedly found with marijuana and drug contraband following a traffic stop on North Broad Street near Chestnut Street. He is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

7:43 a.m. Thursday — No one was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Boyers Road just west of Ferguson Road in Marion Township that happened during a case of suspected road rage.The unknown suspect was driving a dark colored pickup truck and tailgating a 42-year-old Mercer County woman driving a car, after she passed the truck in a passing zone. When the woman slowed down, the truck struck the car, according to a police report.The driver of the truck, which is described as a 2000s model Chevrolet Silverado with an open bed, fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Dec. 24 — Ryan J. Collins, 42, of Donegal Township was charged with having four pills without a prescription, marijuana and other drug contraband stemming from a traffic stop last year.Police said Collins was pulled over on East Cunningham Street about 3:20 p.m. Jan. 13, 2020. A consent search turned up four pills, which were believed to be prescription painkillers, in the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt, according to court documents.Police searched the vehicle and found a THC vaporizer cartridge inside a vape. Collins is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, following too closely to another vehicle and driving a vehicle with improper sunscreening.Dec. 22 — Police charged Jerad K. Krivak, 40, of Butler with drugged driving and having heroin in connection with a December traffic stop in Butler. He was stopped shortly after 4:30 p.m. Dec. 7 on Broad Street.Krivak was arrested after failing field sobriety testing, police said, and a search turned up a stamp bag with white residue. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, according to court documents, police found 13 stamp of suspected heroin in the center console.He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. Toxicology results were not available. Krivak is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle and careless driving.

4:49 p.m. Jan. 3 — A pickup truck driven by Jacob T. Frederick, 27, of East Brady struck a utility pole along Queenstown Road just south of Hillville Road in Perry Township. He was not injured. The pole was cut in half, according to a police report, and the truck was towed.Frederick was cited forregarding traffic lanes.4:30 a.m. Jan. 2 — Edward G. Johnson IV, 27, of Kittanning lost control of his pickup and traveled down an embankment on Pony Farm Road in North Buffalo Township. The truck rolled over on its driver's side. Johnson suffered unknown injuries to the left side of his head. The truck had to be towed.Police cited Johnson for driving too fast for conditions, driving on the wrong side of the road, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving, failing to give information and render aid after an accident, failing to immediately notify police after an accident, driving with an open container of alcohol and not wearing a seat belt.
