4:25 p.m. Wednesday — Mark S. Crawley, 63, allegedly exposed himself to two woman from the window of his apartment on the 400 block of West New Castle Street. The women told police the were walking on Chase Street when they saw Crawley.Crawley is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.
5:06 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Sarah Best, 29, of Butler sideswiped another vehicle while merging lanes on Route 422 at Route 8. Barbara Blodgett, 35, of Chicora was the other driver. Neither woman was injured, but both vehicles had to be towed.12:44 p.m. Monday — Three people were hurt when a vehicle driven by Brandy L. Ifft, 37, of Butler crossed into the opposing lane and struck another vehicle on Saxonburg Road. William C. Rinaman, 27, of Butler was the other driver.Both drivers and Ifft's passenger, Joshua R. McWilliams, 37, of Butler, suffered apparent minor injuries. Police cited Ifft for disregarding traffic lanes.
7:19 p.m. Monday — Timothy J. Wirtz, 32, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his home on Steiner Bridge Road.The victim told police that Wirtz grabbed her arms, shoved her around and tried to throw her to the ground, according to court documents. He also is accused of grabbing cellphones out of the hands of his girlfriend and his mother, who was at the home.Additionally, documents said, the Wirtz drove away in his girlfriend's car without her permission.District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned Wirtz on charges of simple assault, unauthorized use of a vehicle and harassment. He was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond with the release condition that he have no contact with his girlfriend or his mother.

Longstretch in this article were withdrawn at the district justice level on June 10, 2020.</em>12:25 a.m. March 5 — A Washington County man allegedly used an emergency phone in the New End Quad at Slippery Rock University and later called SRU dispatch to report there was a man carrying a gun. Police, however, found no one.The suspect, Johnathon R. Longstreth, 21, of Washington, eventually was identified as the caller during the police investigation, according to court documents. He is charged with causing a false alarm to a public safety agency and two counts of false reports to law enforcement authorities.
Wednesday — Police released a report into an accidental shooting last month in Clay Township. Troopers were called about 1:10 p.m. March 18 to Butler Memorial Hospital where they found the victim, Christopher Cooper, 33, of West Sunbury, who had a gunshot wound to his left knee, according to the report.Police noted Cooper at the time was in stable condition at the hospital. No other information was provided in the report.4:35 p.m. Tuesday — No injuries were reported when a pickup driven by Kayla J. Kopelic, 18, of Butler and a car driven by Amanda E. Rusch, 37, of Chicora collided head-on on Mahood Road just south of Thompsontown Road in Clay Township.3:35 a.m. Tuesday — Michael Kradel, 19, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a one-vehicle crash on O'Hara Road in Jefferson Township. Police said the investigation continues.3:51 p.m. Sunday — Justin W. Tirk, 27, of Saxonburg was hurt when a car collided with the sport utility vehicle he was driving on Route 528 just south of Moraine State Park in Brady Township. Tirk suffered an apparent minor injury.The other driver, Caleb W. Cooper, 36, of Slippery Rock, was cited for careless driving and improperly passing another vehicle.7:40 a.m. Saturday — Michael Doerflinger, 20, of Slippery Rock was injured when the car he was driving hit an embankment and rolled over at least two times on Slippery Rock Road just south of Kaibab Trail in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Doerflinger, who had a suspected minor injury, fled the crash scene. His car later was towed, and police cited him for failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving too fast for conditions and disregarding traffic lanes.
