Butler Police2:36 p.m. Jan. 29 — Robert J. Sirich, 81, of Butler crashed his car into the side of the building housing May’s Music in the 200 block of East Jefferson Street.Police said it appeared Sirich was eastbound on East Jefferson Street when his car traveled across the oncoming travel lane and onto the sidewalk before hitting the building.The car continued east and finally stopped on South Cliff Street.Sirich, who apparently was not injured, told officers that he may have fallen asleep, according to a police report.

State Police, Butler3:53 p.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Sean T. Furlong, 43, and a car driven by Leslie J. Shoop, 69, both of Sarver, collided at Route 356 and Riemer Road in Buffalo Township.Tuesday — An unknown suspect tampered with the locked door knob of a garage at a 60-year-old man’s home on Wylie Road in Clinton Township. Police noted that the suspect did not enter the home. The incident happened between 2 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.7:54 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Clara J. Fundark, 66, of Butler and a car driven by Benjamin Schorsch, 19, of Vandergrift, Allegheny County, collided at Bonniebrook and Great Belt roads in Jefferson Township.Police cited Fundark for careless driving and improperly entering or crossing a road. The Herman and Saxonburg volunteer fire departments assisted at the scene.Jan. 31 — Nikki Lynn Fajohn, 22, of Marion Township was arrested on charges she broke two windows to get inside a home on Patton Road in Marion Township. Police said the defendant knows the home’s occupant, Dorothy Pisor.Police said Fajohn later admitted to the crime. Damage to the property was estimated at $250.Fajohn was arraigned on a felony charge of trespass and a misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief. She is free on nominal bail.Jan. 31 — Police charged a 57-year-old Allegheny County man with being more than twice the legal limit for alcohol when he crashed his motorcycle last year in Jefferson Township.The suspect, David J. Schneider of Shaler Township, lost control of his cycle Sept. 3 and wrecked in the 500 block of Freeport Road. Police said he appeared impaired and was swaying and having trouble standing.He was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.17 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, Schneider is charged with careless driving.1:45 a.m. Jan. 29 — Cathy D. Clark, 47, of Penn Township was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a two-vehicle wreck in Center Township. Clark is accused of crashing her SUV into an oncoming car at Route 308 and Holyoke Road.She was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A breath test showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.197 percent.Clark was arraigned on charges of DUI, failing to yield the right of way, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed, careless driving and reckless driving. She was released on her own recognizance following arraignment.Jan. 27 — Thomas Bryan Green, 49, of Donegal Township was charged with being nearly three times the legal limit for alcohol following a traffic stop last fall in Clearfield Township.Police said they stopped Green’s SUV on Nov. 24 after they noticed it cross over the fog line several times on Route 422 east just west of County Line Road. According to court documents, he did not pull over immediately.The suspect was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.223 percent, documents said. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.Green is charged with DUI, driving with an open container of alcohol, driving without insurance, failing to provide his vehicle registration, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving, failing to use low beams and not wearing a seat belt.
