2 p.m. Monday — A case of theft by deception is under investigation that involves a 20-year-old Concord Township woman who apparently was scammed after sending $180 to an unknown person through the payment service Venmo for Post Malone concert tickets.
9:37 p.m. Sunday — An unknown vandal reportedly smashed out a front window at the Native Hands store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.
Feb. 20 — Police charged a Clarion County woman with driving on narcotics in connection with a one-vehicle wreck last year in Eau Claire. Christine J. Kriebel, 57, of Rimersburg crashed her car into a ditch June 2 on East Main Street near the Allegheny Township line, police said.
Troopers found the car on its side and Kriebel still inside, but she apparently was not injured. She eventually was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood draw, and tested positive for methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to court documents.
She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and disregarding traffic lanes.
Feb. 20 — Kathy M. Walker, 67, of Center Township was charged with drugged driving in connection with a two-vehicle crash earlier this month in Center Township. Police arrived at the wreck around 12:15 p.m. Feb. 3 on Sunset Drive.
Walker was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, and toxicology reports later showed she had the prescription drug clonazepam in her system, according to court documents.
In addition to driving under the influence of a controlled substance, she is charged with making an improper left turn, careless driving and reckless driving.
Feb. 20 — Police charged a Mercer County man with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last year in Summit Township. Ryan S. Adsit, 37, of Jackson Center was stopped around 12:35 a.m. Sept. 29 on Route 356 near Grohman Road.
Police took Adsit to Butler Memorial Hospital, where a blood test allegedly indicated he had marijuana in his system.
He is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and disregarding traffic lanes.
11:45 a.m. Feb. 19 — Maxwell J. Bowers, 28, of Butler was arrested for allegedly giving troopers a bogus name during a police checkpoint detail on Herman Road at Loco Lane in Summit Township.
Police said when they asked for his identification, he told them he did not have any. He gave a fictitious name before giving his real one, according to court documents. Troopers subsequently learned he was wanted on warrants.
Bowers was arraigned on charges of false identification to law enforcement authorities and driving during suspension with a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or greater. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $30,000 bond following arraignment.
1:45 a.m. Feb. 16 — Adam R. Harbison, 25, of Renfrew was arrested and charged with being more than two times the state’s legal limit for alcohol after a traffic stop on Old Route 422 near Boyle Drive in Clearfield Township.
Police subsequently took him for a breath test, which allegedly showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.193 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
Harbison is charged with DUI, driving a vehicle with an open container of alcohol, failing to use turn signs, a rear lighting violation and careless driving.
Feb. 14 — Patricia L. Patsy, 66, of Chicora was arrested on a DUI charge following a traffic stop on Kittanning Street in Chicora. A breath test later allegedly indicated her blood-alcohol level was 0.151 percent.
Patsy is charged with DUI and careless driving.
