Butler Twp Police5:08 p.m. Monday — Cheyenne E. McCloskey, 20, of Butler lost control of her vehicle and crashed head-on into a cement median on Route 422 east between the Route 356 and Route 8 exits.McCloskey’s vehicle also rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Christopher Blodgett, 32, of Petrolia. No one was injured but McCloskey’s vehicle had to be towed. She was cited for disregarding traffic lanes.Thursday — A car driven by Neal Skibicki, 23, of Chicora struck a vehicle parked on the 500 block of Hansen Avenue and rolled onto its roof. Police said the accident happened when Skibicki swerved his car after being distracted by his cell phone.
Buffalo Twp Police11:25 p.m. Sunday — Dion V. Ciufo, 44, of Saxonburg was arrested after he drove his sport utility vehicle over a woman’s foot during an altercation on the 200 block of Sarver Road.Police said Ciufo and Michelle Mills had gotten into an argument at Mills’ home. The suspect eventually got into his Jeep Grand Cherokee, according to court documents, knowing the woman was standing next to the driver’s door.Ciufo took off, running over Mills’ left foot, knocking her to the ground. Mills suffered unknown minor injuries.The defendant was arraigned on a charge of reckless endangerment and placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.
Grove City PoliceTuesday — Ashley R. Stevenson, 32, of Grove City was arrested for driving under the influence on West Main Street. She also was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.July 20 — An Apple iPad was reported stolen from the Trinity Living Center on Hillcrest Avenue. The device, owned by a resident at the facility, was taken some time earlier that month. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.
State Police, ButlerTuesday — Police got an arrest warrant for Aaron Lee Perri, 24, of Butler stemming from a case of domestic violence about 2:30 p.m. Monday on Three Degree Road in Forward Township. He is charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.Monday — A 21-year-old man reported his handgun was stolen from an unspecified location on Jackson Avenue in Parker. The gun was taken between July 15 and Monday.Friday — Police arrested Paul N. Magnani, 52, of Muddy Creek Township on a felony charge of insurance fraud stemming from an investigation that started June 14 when he reported that a Kubota tractor was stolen from his home on Levis Road.However, the next day police learned that the tractor was never stolen, according to court documents. Instead, investigators said they discovered that Magnani in June 2015 had given the vehicle to another man to repair.The defendant June 20 filed a claim with the Erie Insurance Co., reporting the tractor was stolen on June 13.Police said that Magnani, during a July 29 interview at the barracks, admitted “he did lie about the theft of the tractor from his yard and he had filed an insurance claim,” documents said.In addition to insurance fraud, Magnani was arraigned on a misdemeanor charge of false reports to law enforcement authorities. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bail following arraignment.
