Tuesday — Cortney A. Scott, 26, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from a suspected overdose last month on East Cunningham Street.
Police said they were called about 7:35 p.m. Jan. 10 after Scott was found passed out in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Dr. Bryan Negrini, whose office is across the street, stepped in to help and administered four doses of the opioid antidote Narcan.
Scott regained consciousness and admitted snorting a bag of heroin, according to court documents. She was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood draw. Toxicology reports showed she had fentanyl and clonazepam in her system.
She is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
10:45 p.m. Friday — An Illinois teenager was caught with suspected marijuana and other drug contraband following a traffic stop on Route 8 south.
Police said Harmony Rain Neal, 19, of Champaign was a passenger in the car that was pulled over for running a flashing red light. The vehicle smelled of marijuana and officers eventually found a small baggie of the suspected drug in the glove box.
Neal admitted the marijuana belonged to her, court documents said. Police also found two marijuana pipes and a marijuana grinder that they say belonged to the teen.
She is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

12:02 a.m. Tuesday — Eric N. Elder, 18, of Cabot was caught with suspected drug contraband following a traffic stop on Morton Avenue. He was stopped, police said, because his vehicle’s registration was expired and he was driving without his headlights on.
Elder allegedly admitted that he had a marijuana grinder after police smelled the drug coming from his car. Police seized the grinder and a marijuana pipe.
He is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle and a lighting violation.
Tuesday — A Westmoreland County man was charged with being more than twice the legal limit for alcohol stemming from a December police call on Rural Drive.
Police got to the scene and found Zachary R. Dascenzo, 27, of Hunker had gotten his vehicle stuck in a ditch. He failed field sobriety tests and was eventually taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test.
Toxicology results showed Dascenzo’s blood-alcohol level was 0.165 percent. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
Dascenzo is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license-DUI related, driving under suspension with a blood-alcohol level of 0.02 percent or greater and disregarding traffic lanes.

3:13 p.m. Saturday — Police believe alcohol was a factor in a one-vehicle crash on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township that left an Allegheny County man badly injured.
According to a police report, Robert M. Simko, 61, of Springdale, Allegheny County, lost control of his pickup truck and slid into a small ditch before overturning. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with “serious” injuries, according to a police report.
Police said driving under the influence charges are pending toxicology reports.
