Nov. 20 — Police obtained a felony arrest warrant for Brent D. Kennard, 31, of Butler, on charges he charges he assaulted his girlfriend during a domestic dispute around 4 p.m. Nov. 19 at an apartment on the 300 block of South Monroe Street.The victim recounted that Kennard grabbed her by the throat with one hand, according to court documents, and threatened to kill her. She told police that she had been previously stabbed and only has one lung, making the pressure the defendant applied to her throat “more severe than it would have been when she had two lungs.”Kennard, she alleged, also pushed her against a wall and tried to lift her by the throat. She described being terrified, police said, and after she was able to get free, she called 911. Kennard fled the apartment.He is charged with strangulation, a felony, and terroristic threats and simple assault, both misdemeanors.1:43 p.m. Nov. 13 — Mathew C. Stuteville, 23, of Lyndora, allegedly assaulted a woman with whom he had a previous relationship during a domestic dispute at her Greenview Drive apartment.The victim told police that Stuteville shoved her, punched her multiple times in the ribs and then fled the apartment, according to court documents. Police later checked his home, but could not find the defendant. He is charged with simple assault.

12:49 a.m. Tuesday — Melissa Cammisa, 35, of Butler, allegedly was found with suspected heroin and other drug contraband after police were called for an unconscious woman lying face down inside the Speedway store on Hansen Avenue in Lyndora.Police said Cammisa had three stamp bags and two empty bags of suspected heroin, two syringes and two spoons. According to a police report, she is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and public drunkenness.

5:10 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Rhonda L. Vete, 55, of Coraopolis, Allegheny County, struck a block of steel that was in her traffic lane on Interstate 79 just south of Route 228 in Cranberry Township. She was not injured.Monday — Police reported they are investigating the vandalism of a couple's home in September on Mirage Court in Connoquenessing Township. About 24 shingles were damaged in the incident Sept. 9. Damage was estimated at $10,000.The investigation led to a suspect. A police report did not release the suspect's name, noting that the investigation continues.12:42 a.m. Nov. 21 — Kenneth Fetter, 42, of Butler was arrested for allegedly driving drunk following a traffic stop at McGregor and Hall roads in Clay Township.In addition to DUI, Fetter is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions, careless driving, and failing to yield for an emergency vehicle.1:41 a.m. Nov. 20 — A Westmoreland County man was arrested after police got a call for a man with a flashlight walking around the outside of a home on the 100 block of West Cruikshank Road in Middlesex Township.Police said that when they got there, they found Stephen L. Fulmer, 35, of Scottdale, seated in a pickup that was parked at the end of a driveway at the home. The truck was backed into the driveway with the hood open, but Fulmer could not provide a reason, according to court documents.He also was unable to give a “legitimate reason” why he was in the area, police said.Fulmer was subsequently arraigned on a charge of loitering or prowling at night, and later released on his own recognizance.7:16 p.m. Nov. 17 — Joshua A. Fajohn, 31, of Slippery Rock, was injured when he swerved his vehicle to avoid a deer on Harmony Road in Mercer Township and struck a utility pole. Police said he suffered minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.Fajohn's vehicle had to be towed, and he was cited for disregarding traffic lanes. The Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.4:57 p.m. Nov. 17 — Chloe Eisenberg, 21, of Pittsburgh lost control of her car and struck a ditch before overturning and ending on its wheels on I-79 north in Worth Township. She was not injured, but her car had to be towed. She was cited for failure to sign her vehicle registration card.11:32 a.m. Nov. 17 — A 16-year-old Summit Academy student allegedly assaulted a staff member at the residential juvenile correction facility on Herman Road in Summit Township. A police report did not indicate if the victim, a 26-year-old Washington County man, was injured.Police did not identify the student, a boy, who is charged with aggravated assault in Butler County juvenile court.
