Thursday — Police charged Eric T. Davis, 22, of Butler with drunken driving stemming from a weekend crash in the 200 block of Crisswell Road.Davis lost control of his car about 2:20 a.m. Sunday, went off the road and traveled through three yards, hitting a mailbox, fence and numerous trees before overturning.He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for undisclosed injuries.In addition to driving under the influence, Davis is charged with reckless driving, careless driving, diving at an unsafe speed and disregarding traffic lanes.10:16 a.m. Wednesday — A 16-year-old student faces charges after he was caught with a Swiss army-style knife at Butler High School. The knife was found in the boy's bag when he passed through the school's metal detector.Police said the boy is charged with possession of a weapon on school property.

4:01 p.m. Monday — Joshua P. Buckley, 25, of Mercer was arrested on drugged driving and other drug charges, including felony possession, after he crashed his vehicle on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.Buckley was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, a felony.Additionally, he is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.Buckley was placed in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail following arraignment.March 10 — Michael C. King, 32, of Chicora is accused of failing to submit titles, taxes and fees for vehicle sales last year when he worked as manager at Elliott's Use Care Sales on Route 8 in Center Township.Police said four Butler County residents between March 16 and Sept. 18, 2013, bought vehicles privately or from the dealership and had King do the title transfers. But according to an investigator, he kept the money instead of remitting it to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.King is charged with deceptive or fraudulent business practices and theft by failing to make required disposition of funds and two counts of theft by deception, all misdemeanors.In addition, he faces these summary charges: engaging in unprofessional conduct, five counts each of failing to pay taxes to the state, failing to account for money and failing to deliver titles.A preliminary hearing for King is set for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the office of District Judge Lewis Stoughton in Chicora.

Thursday — Two Stihl chain saws and a wooden work bench were stolen from a garage at a home on Route 68 in Toby Township. The burglar forced in a locked door to get into the garage. The break-in happened between March 27 and Thursday.10:40 a.m. March 26 — A traffic stop on Interstate 80 landed a Michigan man in jail after police found suspected counterfeit Michael Kors watches and purses and Uggs boots in his vehicle.Freddy A. Ortiz, 42, of Pontiac was stopped headed west on I-80 in East Lackawannock Township when troopers noticed a piece of metal hanging under the vehicle's gas tank.Police said Ortiz claimed he bought the alleged knockoffs in Brooklyn, N.Y., and planned to sell them once he returned home.He was arraigned on a charge of trademark counterfeiting, a felony, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $15,000 bail.
