2:12 a.m. Sunday — Douglas W. Tomasello, 43, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence at North McKean and East New Castle streets.In addition to DUI, Tomasello was cited for driving with a suspended license and careless driving. A police report noted that Tomasello has two prior DUI convictions.9:51 a.m. Saturday — Hassan Lamar Brack, 26, of Butler was cited for driving without a license and other charges following a traffic stop on Negley Avenue. He also is charged with driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance and driving with an expired license plate.Additionally, he was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a marijuana pipe police found in his vehicle.1:23 a.m. Saturday — Travis R. Hilliard, 27, of Butler was arrested on a previous warrant after being revived for a suspected drug overdose in the Sterling Apartments parking lot. Paramedics were tending to Hilliard when officers got there.He came to but refused further medical treatment. Hilliard was placed in the Butler County Prison on the prior warrant for felony retail theft.1:18 a.m. Saturday — John E. Hopkins, 49, of Butler is accused of causing a disturbance at the Chestnut Street Inn after having too much to drink.Police said Hopkins got angry when he was told to leave the bar. While being escorted out, he swung his fists and broke the inside glass door.Officers got there and found Hopkins allegedly intoxicated and bleeding from his right wrist. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment. Police cited Hopkins for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.Saturday — Tamara R. Sales, 48, of Butler was arrested twice in less than three hours. She was first stopped at 10:47 p.m. Friday for suspected drunken driving on East Walnut Street.She also was cited for disobeying a traffic sign.Sales was processed at the station for the DUI charge and released to her daughter, 21-year-old Teandra Sales, who gave her mother a ride back to their home in the 300 block of North McKean Street.But a short time after arriving home, a police report said, the elder Sales got into a “drunken tirade” with her daughter. Officers at 12:07 a.m. Saturday were called but Sales continued to yell and cause a disturbance.Police took her back to the station and placed her in a holding cell until she sobered up. Officers cited Sales for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.2:04 a.m. March 22 — A car driven by Amy C. Walker, 23, of Butler crashed into a curb on Armco Drive. Walker walked away from the crash but was found a short time later. She faces charges of hit-and-run, driving without a license and careless driving.
5:21 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Anna M. Browarny, 21, of Zelienople crashed into an embankment on South Benbrook Road in Center Township.1 a.m. Sunday — A vandal drove into a yard and damaged grass at a home in the 300 block of Euclid Road in Clay Township.8:28 p.m. Saturday — Morgan D. Resanovich, 22, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Middlesex Township. The arrest followed a be-on-the-lookout advisory in the connection with an earlier hit-and-run accident in Allegheny County.Police said they also cited Resanovich's passenger, Matthew J. Farer, 21, of Tarentum, Allegheny County, for possession of marijuana.8:15 p.m. Saturday — Maria Joy Recupero, 29, of Kittanning was arrested after being caught allegedly shoplifting at the Boscov's store in Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said they also found her with suspected drug paraphernalia.7:20 p.m. Saturday — Erik Williams, 34, of Chicora was arrested after causing a disturbance at the Chuck E Cheese restaurant in Clearview Mall in Center Township. Williams is charged with disorderly conduct.Police say Williams, two days earlier, allegedly struck a 28-year-old Chicora woman in the face during an altercation about 10:30 p.m. Thursday on Harper Road in Concord Township. Williams is charged in the case with simple assault.5 p.m. Saturday — Jason D. Madden, no age given, of Grove City is accused of attacking a 43-year-old Grove City woman at a home on M. Union Road in Worth Township. Madden threw the woman to the ground, kicked her in the face and head and cut her with a knife or knife case.Madden faces terroristic threats and other charges.12:43 p.m. Saturday — Bennie Oliver, 35, of Gibsonia was arrested on felony and other charges after she allegedly vandalized a Center Township home with a baseball bat. Unspecified property in the house on North Drive was destroyed.Police said Oliver is charged with felony criminal mischief as well as simple assault and terroristic threats.11:25 a.m. Saturday — Ronald P. Oravec, 22, of Butler is accused of breaking into the Portersville Christian School and damaging equipment in the building on Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township. Oravec faces charges of burglary, trespass and criminal mischief.7:15 a.m. Saturday — Vehicles driven by Jessica Sue Hudak, 20, of Freeport and Perry F. Petriccia, 52, of Butler collided on Route 8 south of Kelly Road in Clay Township.6:06 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle was found in a ditch on Route 38 in Concord Township. The unknown driver could not be found.7:36 p.m. Friday — Christine M. Slupe, 41, and Corey D. Slupe, 42, both of Butler, were caught allegedly shoplifting clothing items at the Boscov's store in Clearview Mall in Center Township. Both face charges of retail theft.6 a.m. Friday — Two youths, who police did not identify, are suspected of vandalizing a trailer and vehicle on Oakleaf Drive in Jefferson Township. One suspect threw a metal pole into the trailer, breaking a window. Both suspects also slashed the tires of a truck.4:17 a.m. Friday — Brian Murphy Jr., 24, of Fombell, Beaver County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he was found passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle in a grassy area at an Interstate 79 south on-ramp in Jackson Township.Friday — Unspecified items were stolen in a burglary at Sybert's Garage on Route 308 in Clay Township. A window at the business also was broken during the break-in that happened between 6 p.m. Thursday and 7:45 a.m. Friday.Thursday — An unidentified maroon vehicle struck two stop signs and a third road sign at Seven Hills Road and Center Drive in Concord Township.Wednesday — A vandal in a large vehicle tore up the grass of a yard at 472 West Sunbury Road in Center Township. The vandalism happened between 1 a.m. March 24 and 10 a.m. Wednesday.
8:18 a.m. Friday — A 60-year-old McKean County man allegedly exposed himself and made a lewd act on himself while driving a vehicle next to a tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township. Police said the suspect, Robert N. Haskins of Port Allegany faces charges of indecent exposure, open lewdness and careless driving.March 4 — A would-be identity thief tried to use a 27-year-old Grove City woman's name and Social Security number to obtain a cell phone account.
