Wednesday — Call it a case of snow rage.Police cited a Butler man after he bonked a man in the head last week after the two argued over a shoveling job.The altercation started about 10 a.m. Feb. 5 when 23-year-old Michael W. Budner Jr. saw a would-be rival shoveling his neighbor's walk outside a Euclid Avenue home.Budner approached and informed the shoveler, Joseph M. Musick, 46, of Butler, that he had already struck a deal with homeowner Eric Craig to shovel the walk for $10, according to a police report.But Musick, also a neighbor, advised Budner that he was shoveling it for free.The two men began to argue over who was to do the shoveling, the report said, when Craig came out and offered them both $10 to “stop arguing and get the shoveling done.”Budner allegedly struck Musick in the head, knocking him down. Police cited Budner for harassment.

Tuesday — Police charged Patrick A. Martin Jr., 67, of Allison Park, Allegheny County, with harassing employees at the Rite Aid store at Point Plaza.Martin is accused of following a store delivery driver Jan. 17 from the store onto Route 68. The suspect tailgated the driver, a police report said, “shaking his fist and yelling out the window the entire time.”Later, Martin showed up at the PNC Bank branch at Moraine Pointe Plaza, where the Rite Aid manager had gone. When the manager left the bank and went to his vehicle, police said, the suspect began “to verbally berate” the man.Police noted that Martin has a history, dating back nearly three years, of harassing several employees at the Rite Aid store. The defendant, according to court documents, is the ex-boyfriend of a woman who works at the store.Police charged Martin with two counts of stalking.

Monday — William C. Krapp, 60, of Zelienople was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop about 2:40 p.m. Jan. 30 on South Green Lane.Police said they smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Krapp's minivan. He admitted having two or three beers that day, according to court documents.The defendant was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. He was taken to Ellwood City Hospital for a blood test. A toxicology report showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.225 percent or nearly three times the 0.08 percent legal limit in Pennsylvania.In addition to driving under the influence, Krapp is charged with disobeying traffic-control devices.

Wednesday — Police charged Timothy A. Pickard, 40, of Sharon, Mercer County, with bouncing a check for $177.53 on Jan. 3 at Thompson's Country Market on Main Street in West Sunbury. Pickard is charged with theft by deception.9:24 p.m. Tuesday — A plastic case containing a power tool with accessories was found at Route 8 and Litman Road in Butler Township. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-284-8100.12:20 p.m. Sunday — A snow-covered bridge was blamed for a two-car wreck on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. The crash happened when Eric M. Redmond, 28, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, lost control of his car, which began to slide on the bridge.David S. Snyder, 51, of Brockway, Jefferson County, was driving behind Redmond and was unable to avoid hitting the other car.Jan. 31 — Someone drove a snowmobile through a woman's yard damaging shrubbery at the home in the 100 block of Alwine Road in Jefferson Township. The vandalism happened between Jan. 25 and 31.5 p.m. Jan. 24 — An unidentified hit-and-run driver did not stop after crashing into a plastic fence in a homeowner's yard on Route 228 in Clinton Township.Jan. 24 — The side view mirrors were taken off two vehicles at the Campus Side Apartments parking lot in Slippery Rock Township. The incident happened between 9 p.m. Jan. 23 and 9 a.m. Jan. 24.

9:10 a.m. Monday — Andrew J. Arblaster, 34, of Templeton was hurt when he lost control of his car and struck a utility pole along Route 85 in Valley Township.Arblaster, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to ACMH Hospital near Kittanning with minor injuries. A 3-year-old boy riding in the car, in a child safety seat, was apparently not injured but was taken to the hospital to be checked out for precautionary reasons.Police said Arblaster was cited for driving too fast for conditions.2:50 a.m. Saturday — Robert Keys, 23, of Cowansville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after they found him passed out in the McDonald's restaurant drive-through at the Franklin Village Mall in East Franklin Township.
