Wednesday — Richard B. Kamerer, 41, of Parker was charged with stealing his daughter's credit card after he allegedly was found intoxicated July 9 at her home on the 100 block of Old Plank Road.

He is charged with unauthorized possession of an access device and public drunkenness.

1:10 a.m. July 13 — Jacob D. Shipton, 22, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence on Grove City Road. Police initially saw him on South Main Street in a pickup that had an expired registration.An officer, however, lost sight of the truck. Police subsequently went to Shipton's home, where they found him pulling into the driveway, according to court documents.Police said he admitted to having “six or seven beers” before driving. He was taken for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.115 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.He is charged with DUI and driving an unregistered vehicle.

1 p.m. Tuesday — An unidentified vehicle struck a decorative stone pillar at a home on the 100 block of Brinker Road in Summit Township. The unknown driver backed out and fled without providing any information.Police are asking for anyone who has information about the incident to call police at 724-298-8100.According to a police report, the suspect's vehicle would have fresh damage to its lower front end.Monday — An unknown burglar made off with 60 oxycodone pills and between $50 and $75 after breaking into a home on Moraine Drive in Muddy Creek Township. The property was taken from the bedroom of the victim, a 54-year-old woman.Monday — Matthew Young, 25, of Portersville was charged with being more than two-and-a-half times the state's legal limit for alcohol stemming from a one-vehicle crash last month in Muddy Creek Township.Police said Young wrecked his car shortly before 8:50 p.m. June 22 on Cheeseman Road. A Butler Ambulance Service crew was treating him for unspecified injuries when police arrived.A medical helicopter later flew Young to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for further treatment, according to court documents. Police subsequently got a search warrant for his medical records.Lab results indicated Young's blood-alcohol level was 0.22 percent around the time of the crash. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.4:45 p.m. Sunday — Kelsee A. Thompson, 27, of Butler was allegedly caught shoplifting clothing valued at $464 at the Boscov's store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said after employees confronted her, she fled in a vehicle.Thompson is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor count of retail theft.5:35 p.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by William R. Bowser, 37, of Worthington, Armstrong County, struck another SUV on Route 422 west in front of Weichey's Auto Glass in Summit Township.Neither Bowser nor the other driver, Jason A. Kneidinger, 34, of Grove City, was injured. Five passengers, four of them children, in Kneidinger's vehicle also were not injured. Both SUVs had to be towed.Police cited Bowser for disregarding traffic lanes.July 16 — Mark K. Kapcala, 62, and Douglas L. Robertson, 61, both of Butler were charged with accessing Moraine State Park in Worth Township after sundown. The men are accused of attempting to visit Lakeview Beach while “heavily intoxicated,” police said.Butler County's Water Rescue Team 300, the Unionville dive team and the Portersville-Muddy Creek EMS assisted at the scene.Kapcala and Robertson were charged with trespass and public drunkenness.7:50 p.m. July 14 — Edward D. Vantine, 24, was arrested after police said he resisted their efforts to detain him during an incident at his home on Cherry Valley Road in Clinton Township.Police said Vantine's mother called to report her son had returned home and broke the glass out of the front door and several windows while he was fighting with her husband and other son.Troopers found the suspect in his room. He appeared “highly intoxicated and combative,” according to court documents.When one of the officers attempted to arrest him, he allegedly pulled away. Police said they had to use force to take him into custody.Vantine was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness. He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.July 10 — Bruce W. Cooper, 62, of Cabot was charged with drunken driving stemming from a one-vehicle crash in Jefferson Township in May. Police said he drove his pickup into a traffic light pole around 8 p.m. May 30 at Neupert and Marwood roads.Cooper allegedly failed field sobriety testing and was taken to the barracks for a breath test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.153 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and reckless driving.July 8 — Noah F. Young, 21, of Penn Township was charged with DUI in connection with a one-car crash a week earlier in Winfield Township. Police said he wrecked into a tree shortly before 2:50 a.m. July 1 on the 600 block of Marwood Road.Young allegedly admitted to having two or three beers before the crash. He told police, “I was just trying to go home,” according to court documents.Police eventually took him for a breath test, which allegedly indicated his blood-alcohol level was 0.144 percent.In addition to DUI, Young is charged with failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.

11:47 a.m. Monday — An East Brady motorist escaped injury in a freak accident on Queenstown Road in Perry Township.Police said Levi D. Jack, 20, was traveling north when a tree fell from the west side of the road and landed on the windshield of the Dodge Stratus he was driving. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured, but his car had to be towed.The East Brady Volunteer Fire Department and West Penn Power assisted at the scene.

Wednesday — Police charged a Mercer man following a reported sexual assault of a 10-year-old Butler boy in 2015 near the Mercer-Butler County line.Drew R. Ries, 31, is charged with a felony count of corruption of minors and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault.The alleged assault occurred between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2015, on Creek Road in Worth Township, Mercer County.2:29 a.m. July 18 — Melissa McKinney, 51, of Harrisville was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after she allegedly was found asleep behind the wheel of a minivan on West Main Street Extension.

2:22 a.m. July 8 — Kalin S. Snyder, 23, of Slippery Rock swerved his car to avoid a deer and crashed into a tree along Fox Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. He was not injured, but his car had to be towed.

Monday — The state police’s Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited a beer distributor and social club, both in Butler County, for allegedly violating the state liquor law.Police said Kabel’s Distributor on Winfield Road in Jefferson Township sold or furnished alcohol to a minor on May 30.The Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 64 on West Jefferson Street in Butler is accused of failing to maintain complete and accurate records concerning the operation of small games of chance for a two-year period immediately preceding May 5.An administrative law judge will hear each case.
