Butler Police11:38 a.m. Dec. 25 — Jose R. Gonzalez, 49, of Butler was caught trespassing at the Shore Street Apartments, where he had been previously banned. Police were called to an apartment and found the suspect on a couch.Gonzalez admitted that he knew he was not allowed to be there, according to court documents. When questioned why he was there, he said, “It’s Christmas.”Police noted that the Housing Authority of Butler County, which owns the Shore Street Apartments, informed the defendant in a letter July 8 that he was no longer permitted on any authority properties.Gonzalez is charged with defiant trespass.

Butler Twp Police1:34 a.m. Friday — Loriann McKinney, 48, of Butler allegedly got into a drunken altercation and slapped 46-year-old Gary C. O’Neal of Butler at the Super 8 hotel on Route 8 south. Police cited McKinney for harassment and public drunkenness. O’Neal was cited for public drunkenness.

Middlesex Twp PoliceDec. 30 — Kathryn C. Demor, 57, of Gibsonia was charged with drunken driving stemming from a traffic stop Dec. 12 on Route 228 west. The arresting officer said he stopped Demor’s car after it crossed into his opposing lane of traffic.Demor was arrested after failing a field sobriety test. She was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry for a blood test, which subsequently showed her blood-alcohol level at 0.15 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.

Penn Twp PoliceDec. 28 — Police charged Adam R. Baehr, 22, of Forward Township with misdemeanor drug possession in connection with a traffic stop Dec. 6. Baehr was a passenger in the vehicle that was stopped about 8 a.m. on Brownsdale Road.The officer was monitoring morning traffic and bus stops on the road when he pulled over the vehicle, a truck hauling a construction trailer, for lighting violations.Baehr, who appeared under the influence, asked to speak to the officer at the rear of the work truck, away from his boss and co-workers, court documents said.He admitted he had illegal drugs and had taken narcotics, police said. He turned over a plastic baggie containing marijuana and prescription medication, one hydrocodone pill and two Adderall pills.Baehr is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

State Police, Butler2:43 a.m. Sunday — Madison M. Hodgkiss, 18, of Chicora lost control of her sport utility vehicle and rolled over in a ditch after spinning off ice-covered Carbon Center Road just east of Conrad Lane in Clearfield Township. The SUV ended on its driver’s side.East Butler volunteer firefighters had to rescue Hodgkiss from her wrecked vehicle. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Police cited her for driving too fast for conditions.1:05 a.m. Saturday — Aylsha L. Malec, 25, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 near Glenwood Way in Center Township.11:31 p.m. Jan. 1 — Damon D. Doutt II, 51, was arrested after he allegedly punched his daughter in the face during a domestic dispute at his home in the 200 block of Jones Road in Winfield Township.The victim told police that Doutt also wrapped his arms around her neck while on top of her, according to court documents. She suffered a bloody lip and swelling on the right cheek.The defendant admitted punching her daughter after she “came after him in an aggressive manner,” a police affidavit said. He claimed he “bear hugged” her as a way to restrain her.Doutt was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail following arraignment.Dec. 30 — Alexander M. Kocko, 23, of Lyndora was charged with drugged driving in connection with a sobriety checkpoint detail Dec. 4 in Center Township.Police said that when Kocko was stopped about 12:40 a.m. in the 2100 block of Route 8, they smelled marijuana coming from his car. He also appeared impaired.The suspect, who admitted smoking marijuana, was arrested after failing field sobriety tests, court documents said. A search of his car turned up a marijuana pipe, according to court documents.Police later took him to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test. A toxicology report showed he had marijuana in his system.Kocko is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.Dec. 28 — Anthony M. Cousins, 24, of Franklin Township was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop Dec. 6 in Jefferson Township.Cousins was pulled over on Route 356 south of Bonniebrook Road, according to court documents, for having a burned out brake light on his sport utility vehicle. Police said when the suspect stopped his SUV, most of the vehicle was still on the road.The suspect was eventually given several field sobriety tests, police said, which he failed. He was arrested and searched. Documents said police found him with unspecified drugs and other contraband including five empty stamp bags of suspected heroin, three hypodermic needles and a drug-cooking spoon.Cousins is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, making an improper stop, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and a lighting violation.Dec. 28 — Police charged David T. Kearns of Penn Hills, Allegheny County, with misdemeanor drug possession and drugged driving stemming from a stop for speeding Dec. 8 on Route 8 in Penn Township. Troopers stopped the suspect’s sport utility vehicle that night for traveling 70 mph in a 50 mph zone.Kearns, who appeared impaired, was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. Police said they searched the vehicle and found a pill bottle with a woman’s name on it. The bottle contained more than a dozen pills of two unspecified drugs and marijuana.The suspect was taken to Butler Memorial for a blood test. The toxicology results showed the presence of two prescription drugs in his system, said documents, which did not identify the medication.Kearns is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, possession of a small amount of marijuana, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, speeding, careless driving and texting while driving.

State Police, Mercer4:30 p.m. Friday — Three teenagers escaped the George Junior Republic juvenile detention center in Pine Township. All three suspects were captured within several hours following an extensive search by staff members, troopers and local police from Grove City and Mercer.The lone adult of the trio, Austin Norris-Dimoff, 18, of Grove City, was placed in the Mercer County Jail. He is charged with escape and flight to avoid apprehension.The other two teens, who police did not identify, face similar charges in Mercer County juvenile court.

State Police, New Castle5:21 p.m. Wednesday — No one was injured in a three-vehicle wreck in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.The crash happened when a car driven by Taylor A. Callahan, 18, of Portersville struck another car at Route 388 and Old Princeton Road. The other car, driven by Timothy E. McMillin, 60, of New Castle, spun out and struck a fence before traveling back onto the road and hitting a third car driven by Amber M. O’Connor, 30, of New Castle.Police said Callahan was cited for a stop sign violation.
