BC3 open house will showcase college’s affordability

Butler County Community College is hoping to use an open house on Tuesday, Oct. 21, to inform prospective students on how they can minimize higher educational costs.

The open house will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Visitors will be able to explore BC3 associate degree and certificate programs, meet with faculty, and tour facilities like the Paserba Teaching and Learning Lab and the Victor K. Phillips Nursing and Allied Health Building.

Guests can also learn about BC3’s student clubs, organizations and activities; support services, like free tutoring; and athletics programs.

BC3 will hold 30-minute information sessions about ways to pay for college at 5:10 p.m., 6 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. in the Heaton Family Learning Commons. Juli Louttit, BC3’s director of student financial services, will speak about the college’s tuition, fees and financial aid options. Mikayla Moretti, executive director of the BC3 Education Foundation and external relations, will talk about scholarships.
