2:18 a.m. Thursday — Craig S. Ison, 30, of Butler was arrested on an out-of-state warrant after he was found staggering and allegedly intoxicated on West Jefferson Street.Police said after taking Ison to the police station they learned he was wanted on a warrant out of Trumbull County, Ohio. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant and was also cited for public drunkenness.6:30 p.m. Wednesday — Daniel J. Diodati, 22, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his pregnant wife, 27-year-old Meagan Diodati, during a domestic dispute at the couple's West Brady Street apartment. Daniel Diodati was placed in the Butler County Prison on a charge of simple assault.Wednesday — Police charged John P. Hufnagel, 37, with being a habitual offender for driving with a suspended license in connection with an accident Sept. 24 on American Avenue. Hufnagel in the accident backed up into a car driven by Cynthia Workman, 47, of Butler.Following a check of his driving record, according to a police report, officers found he has five prior convictions for driving with a suspended license.
Wednesday — Police charged Raymond Covelli, 29, of Lyndora with hit-and-run and other traffic violations stemming from an accident about 2 a.m. Sept. 24 in front of the Lyndora Hotel.In addition to hit-and-run, Covelli is charged with failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving with a suspended license, driving on the wrong side of the road and careless driving.
7:55 a.m. Thursday — Bethany L. Ratkovich, 24, of Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, was injured when the car she was driving struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Ratkovich, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to UPMC Passavant Cranberry. Police said she was cited for careless driving.1:10 p.m. Wednesday — Judith L. Vito, 72, of St. Petersburg, Clarion County, was hurt when the car she was driving struck a parked car on Route 268 in Parker, Armstrong County. Vito, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca, Venango County, with minor injuries. Police said she was cited for careless driving.Tuesday — An unknown vandal damaged a 27-foot solar pool cover by throwing sunflower stakes onto it at a home on Fawn Drive in Connoquenessing Township. Damage in the vandalism that happened between 7:30 and 8 a.m. was estimated at $150.11:59 p.m. Sept. 22 — Two Butler County men made off with an unspecified amount of gas after drilling a hole in a vehicle's fuel tank at the Park and Ride on Route 488 in Muddy Creek Township.Police arrested the suspects, Cy T. Hassinger, 19, of Prospect and Adam M. Anderson, 20, of Slippery Rock, on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment and criminal mischief. Hassinger also was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.Both men were arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail each.Sept. 20 — Four tires on a log skidder were damaged at a home on Sandy Point Road in Allegheny Township. The vandalism, which caused an estimated $12,000 in damage, happened between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 19 and 6:45 a.m. Sept. 20.Sept. 1 — An unknown thief stole two Missa Eaton campaign signs at a home on Dick Road in Connoquenessing Township. The theft happened between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m.
