Butler Police

11:20 a.m. Friday — George T. Honeycutt, 37, of Butler was caught with bags of suspected heroin after officers arrested him on a bench warrant at Pillow and West Cunningham streets. Police said a search turned up 10 stamp bags of suspected heroin in his pants pockets.

Honeycutt is charged with possession of a controlled substance..

Butler Twp. Police

7:10 p.m. Tuesday — Tommi Elaine Coyle, 19, of Butler was caught allegedly “under ringing” numerous items, valued at $110, at the self-checkout aisle at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Coyle is charged with retail theft.

Grove City Police

Wednesday — Police have filed charges against two 16-year-olds accused of using another person’s credit card without authorization. The youths, who police did not identify, charged more than $1,700 worth of transactions at several local businesses.

The suspects are charged with forgery, access device fraud, identity theft and conspiracy.

5:48 p.m. Sunday — Zachary J. Surrena, 20, of Grove City was arrested after he passed out from allegedly huffing a can of dust cleaner at the parking lot of the Country Fair store. A police report said Surrena, after awakening, went into convulsions.

The suspect is charged with inhaling solvents or toxic substances and disorderly conduct.

Friday — Police arrested Tammy Kay Hilliard, 46, on a bench warrant after officers were called to her home in the 200 block of College Avenue for a reported domestic dispute.

May 1 — A bicycle was found abandoned in a creek in the borough. The owner can claim the bike at the police station.

State Police, Butler

9:49 p.m. Tuesday — A 15-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly choked and punched his 45-year-old mother at their home on Swamp Run Road in Center Township. The woman suffered minor injuries including a bloody lip.

The boy, who police did not identify, was turned over to the juvenile court services. He is charged with simple assault and harassment.

Tuesday — Police charged Robert J. Karenbauer, 52, of Summit Township with being more than three times the legal limit for alcohol following a May 2 traffic stop in Butler.

Troopers said Karenbauer smelled of alcohol and appeared to be impaired when they pulled him over at Zeigler and Center avenues. A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.256 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated for drivers under state law.

In addition to driving under the influence, he is charged with driving with a suspended license, careless driving, illegal use of an inspection sticker and a seat belt violation.

3:48 a.m. Sunday — Brittany May Wilcox, 24, was arrested after she allegedly tried to attack her mother with a kitchen knife during an altercation at the family’s home in the 200 block of Bauder Mill Road in Muddy Creek Township.

Wilcox, who was intoxicated, also threatened to kill the victim while holding the 4-inch knife, according to court documents. The defendant’s father intervened and took the knife away from the suspect, holding her down on the ground until police arrived. No injures were report.

District Judge Lewis Stoughton arraigned Wilcox on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment, She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail following arraignment.

May 7 — Police charged Uriah A. Bish, 22, of Petrolia with making $1,013 in fraudulent withdrawals using a Petrolia woman’s bank debit card last year. Bish knows the victim and knew her personal identification number because he previously dated her daughter, according to court documents.

The suspect confessed that he took the card out of the woman’s vehicle, documents said. He told investigators he made the unauthorized withdrawals at automated teller machines at a truck stop and a convenience store, both in the Emlenton area.

Bish is charged with a felony count of access device fraud and a misdemeanor count of theft from a vehicle..

State Police, Kittanning

1:37 p.m. Wednesday — A 33-year-old Saxonburg man was arrested for suspicion of drugged driving on Route 28 at exit 12 in Springdale Township, Allegheny County. Police said the suspect, who they did not identify, also was found with 46 bags of suspected heroin and other drug contraband.

State Police, Mercer

9:30 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by James A. O’Leary, 88, of Portersville struck a deer on Interstate 79 just north of Pollock Store Road in Plain Grove Township.

State Police, New Castle

Tuesday — An unknown thief stole three red and white lumber tarpaulins from a flat-bed trailer parked in the 3000 block of Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Each tarp is valued at $300. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-598-2211.
