3:08 p.m. Monday — Derek T. Guidos-Lang, 27, of Gibsonia was arrested on a bench warrant after police were called for a report of a suspected drunk in the 300 block of East Locust Street. The caller reported the suspect was outside his home and had fallen into a bush and was talking to himself, according to a police report.Officers got there and found the suspect, identified as Guidos-Lang, laying in the middle of nearby Hemphling Street. He saw police, got up and ran but was caught before he could get more than 15 feet away.Guidos-Lang admitted, the police report said, “I can't walk. I'm drunk as (expletive).” He was arrested and cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. Police said the defendant was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant.Monday — Two cars were vandalized at a home in the 300 block of Roosevelt Boulevard. One car's window was broken and the other car was dented. The vandalism happened between Friday and Monday.Monday — An unknown vandal overnight flattened all four tires of a car at a home in the 200 block of Federal Street. A police report noted that it appears the tires were stabbed with an unspecified object.9:59 p.m. Sunday — John Jameel Jackson, 35, of Butler was arrested on a warrant after police found him in a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Friedman's supermarket on West Brady Street. A search turned up suspected marijuana in his pants pocket.He was placed in the Butler County Prison on the warrant. He also was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana.6:11 p.m. Saturday — Police arrested a wanted man after being called for a fight involving seven or eight men in front of the Broad Street School. Some of the men had reportedly fled by the time officers got there. Several other men, including James E. Howard-George, 19, of Butler, were stopped.Police said they found Howard-George was wanted on a warrant. He was arrested and placed in the Butler County Prison.12:53 a.m. Saturday — Serafin Cantera, 40, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on South Chestnut Street. A breath test later found his blood-alcohol level was 0.222 percent, or nearly three times the 0.08 percent limit under the state's legal law.Police said Cantera, in addition to DUI, was cited for an open container violation and driving on the wrong side of the road.8:14 p.m. Friday — Steven A. Vlassich, 25, of Butler was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to a home in the 200 block of West Wayne Street for a report of a drug overdose.The caller told police that Vlassich had stopped by and had gone into the home's bathroom. After there was no response inside after “a long period of time,” a police report said, the home's occupant notified authorities.Police said officers got there, entered the bathroom and found Vlassich with a hypodermic needle on the floor.He admitted he injected himself with three stamp bags of heroin, the report said. Paramedics treated him at the home.
11 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Richard L. Brandon, 50, of Slippery Rock struck a mailbox and utility pole along Route 208 in Clay Township. Police said Brandon, who left the scene, was cited for numerous traffic violations including driving at an unsafe speed.2:40 a.m. Sunday — Anthony D. Staab, 52, of Trafford, Westmoreland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Benbrook Road in Butler Township.12:08 a.m. Sunday —Thomas Libitzer, 22, of Leechburg, Armstrong County, was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his vehicle struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.1 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by William S. Emmel, 17, of Butler struck a guardrail on Herman Road just northwest of Stutz Road in Summit Township. Police said he was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.1:15 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Vincent E. Simpronio, 54, and a minivan driven by Angela D. McCandless, 26, both of Prospect, collided on Stone Church Road just southwest of Hanna Lane in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Simpronio was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.
1:40 a.m. Sunday — At least one person was hurt when a speeding car crashed into a guardrail on Route 208 in Emlenton. Jennifer M. Evans, 29, of Gallipolis, Ohio, the driver, and Anthony K. Stout, no age given, also of Gallipolis, her passenger, left the scene, leaving the car behind.Stout was later taken to Hamot Medical Center in Erie with moderate injuries, according to a police report. Police did not know if Evans was hurt. Police she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.7 p.m. Friday — Daniel Krusper, 54, of Valencia was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving struck a large tree along Wallaceville Road just north of Ridgeview Road in Plum Township. Krusper, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries.Police said he faces tickets for a lane violation and other unspecified traffic offenses.
3:52 p.m. Sunday — Theodore J. Burchick, 48, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medication on Route 28 near Route 422 in North Buffalo Township.9:17 p.m. Saturday — Daniel J. Napierkowski, 45, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 28 about one-quarter mile south of Exit 11 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.4:26 p.m. Saturday—Delrece D. Williams, 19, of Homestead, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 at Exit 18 in South Buffalo Township.1:30 a.m. Saturday — A car rear-ended a pickup driven by Bradley T. Bryan, 35, of Chicora on fog-laden Route 28 in Aspinwall, Allegheny County. Oladipupo Ogunleye, 20, of Pittsburgh was driving the car. Police said he was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:51 p.m. Wednesday —One person was hurt when a sport utility vehicle crashed into a large truck on Route 156 at Apple Drive in South Bend Township.The crash happened when Tina M. Senules, 51, of Home, Indiana County, lost control of the SUV, went off the road, struck an embankment and rolled over, police said. The vehicle traveled back onto the road and hit a Peterbilt truck driven by Walter S. Rogers, 38, of Butler.The SUV, while on its roof, spun into the truck a second time. Senules, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. Police said she was cited for a lane violation.
