Sunday — A thief overnight stole the Pennsylvania license plate JDG7231 from a woman's vehicle at her home in the 400 block of West New Castle Street.

Saturday — Police issued multiple traffic tickets to a North Carolina man stemming from a suspected hit-and-run crash Sept. 30 in the Pilot gas station parking lot on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township.Police said Freeman Hardaway, 41, of Raeford, N.C., was driving a tractor-trailer that struck an unoccupied rig in the lot, damaging the other vehicle's trailer and two cars it was transporting. Hardaway fled the scene but a witness saw the crash and provided police with a description of the suspect's vehicle.Hardaway was cited for careless driving and failing to stop and give information after an accident.Thursday — A burglar stole a cash box containing $100 in currency after prying open the front door at Nelson's Towing on Route 8 in Harrisville. The break-in happened between 1 and 8:15 a.m.Wednesday — A thief stole six batteries from an Allegheny County woman's golf cart at the Slippery Rock Campgrounds in Worth Township. The theft happened between Sept. 3 and Wednesday.Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Oct. 27 — Rainy Marie Rose, 29, of Fenelton was charged with drugged driving stemming from a three-vehicle wreck Sept. 10 in Center Township. Police said Rose rear-ended one vehicle, which was subsequently forced into the back of another vehicle on Route 8 at the Clearview Mall.Rose is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, disobeying traffic control devices and following too closely to another vehicle.Oct. 20 — A white Samsung Galaxy 4 tablet was stolen from a woman's home in Cherry Township. The burglar got into the home in the 2100 block of West Sunbury Road through an unlocked basement door and left the same way.The break-in happened between 7:50 a.m. and 5 p.m. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.

Sunday — A 46-year-old Sligo woman, who police did not identify, is accused of illegally trying to buy a revolver Sept. 10 at the Sports Shack II on Water Street in East Brady gun shop. The suspect is prohibited by law from possessing any guns. She faces unspecified firearms charges.

11 p.m. Friday — Quinton M. Allison, 20, of Slippery Rock allegedly vandalized the windshield of a New Castle man's vehicle on Route 388 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Allison is charged with criminal mischief.10:44 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Adam W. Kotlinski, 27, of New Castle and a sport utility vehicle driven by Crystal D. McCormick, 53, of Slippery Rock collided at Route 108 and McCaslin Road in Scott Township. Police cited Kotlinski for making an illegal turn.6:40 p.m. Tuesday — Three people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision in Scott Township. The wreck happened when a car driven by Angela Allen, 46, of Sharon rear-ended the other vehicle that was attempting to turn into a driveway on Route 19 near Route 108.Allen and the other driver, Brian Coursen, 23, of Mercer, and Coursen's passenger, Nataly Grant, 19, of Mercer were taken to Jameson Hospital in New Castle with undisclosed injuries.
