Butler PoliceThursday — Two bicycles were reported stolen in a burglary at a home in the 400 block of Mitchell Avenue. The owner later recovered the bikes, according to a police report.Police said they are investigating, but there was no other information immediately available.

Grove City Police12:25 a.m. Saturday — Jebediah M. Cook, 35, of Grove City allegedly started a fight and hit another customer at the Broad Street Grille and Tavern on South Broad Street. Police charged Cook with disorderly conduct.Saturday — A house key was taken from a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of a home in the 700 block of Tidball Avenue. The theft happened between 6 and 10:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925Friday — An unknown thief passed a counterfeit $20 bill at the Agway store on Breckenridge Street. Police said they are investigating, but it was not immediately known if there are any suspects.

Middlesex Twp. Police2:21 a.m. Monday — Patricia E. Lachance, 50, of Saxonburg was arrested for suspicion of drunken driving on Brownsdale Road. Lachance, who reeked of alcohol, admitted she was intoxicated when the officer got to her car, according to a police report.She was eventually taken to UPMC Passavant hospital in Cranberry Township for a blood test, which showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.198 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law.In addition to driving under the influence, police said, Lachance is charged with careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.Saturday — April M. Hemmerle, 31, of Butler was injured in a one-vehicle crash on Route 8. But police do not know when the accident happened or the circumstances that caused the car to end up overturned in a creek.Police said they were called about 9:40 a.m. after a passer-by noticed the wrecked car off the side of the road. There was no sign of the driver or anyone else in the vehicle.It appeared the driver lost control of the car while southbound on Route 8, according to a police report. The vehicle crossed the northbound lanes, traveling over an embankment before flipping upside down in a creek.At 10:11 a.m., authorities got a call from a homeowner on Harbison Road, about two miles from the crash, reporting that an unknown woman had shown up at her house. The woman, later identified as Hemmerle, advised the homeowner that she had been injured in a vehicle accident.Police and an ambulance crew responded to the house. Hemmerle told police that she believed she was driving sometime overnight Friday when she wrecked, the report said. She thought she had been “walking all night” but couldn’t remember anything about the accident.She was taken by ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh with minor injuries.Police on Monday said that while no charges were filed they continue to investigate the crash.10:07 a.m. Thursday — No one was injured when a large truck driven by Christopher Good Jr., 22, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, and a pickup truck driven by Joseph Stanger, 51, of Evans City collided on Route 8 north at Leslie Road.The crash happened, according to a police report, when Good was making a wide right turn from Route 8 onto Leslie Road, hitting Stanger’s pickup that was in the left northbound lane.

State Police, Mercer11:30 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Jeffrey A. Naper, 22, of Slippery Rock spun out and hit a ditch on Tower Road just north of White Oak Road in Springfield Township. Naper told police he lost control of the car when he swerved to avoid a deer on the road.Police cited him for driving a vehicle without a valid inspection sticker.

State Police, New Castle11:56 p.m. Wednesday — Jennifer L. Aiken, 42, of Portersville lost control of her pickup truck and struck a tree along Heinz Camp Road just east of Armstrong Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County. Police cited Aiken for disregarding traffic lanes and not wearing a seat belt.
