A Butler woman will be evaluated for the state Intermediate Punishment program after pleading guilty Tuesday to four cases, including charges of drug delivery, methamphetamine manufacturing and retail theft, in Butler County Court.

Sarah R. Post, 41, pleaded guilty to felony retail theft, manufacturing methamphetamine, operating a methamphetamine lab, conspiracy and two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance before President Judge Thomas Doerr.

She will be transferred to a state correctional facility for evaluation and consideration for the program, and sentencing will be scheduled later.

The plea agreements also call for court costs, probation, restitution and fines.

Post was charged July 26 with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of an altered access device.

Butler Township police filed the charges after numerous containers and packages of suspected crack cocaine and Suboxone, as well as suspected heroin and marijuana, were found in Post's vehicle in the Walmart parking lot at Butler Commons.

Police were called for two females possibly doing drugs in a car. An officer noticed a crack pipe in the passenger side door, according to court documents.

Following a search of the vehicle, an assortment of drugs and other contraband was found, police said.

In the driver's area, where Post was seated, officers found six separate containers of crack, a cigarette case with six stamp bags and one empty bag of suspected heroin, and other drug paraphernalia. Post's wallet, documents said, contained 24 unopened packages of Suboxone, a prescription pain medication used to treat opiate addiction, and four pills of antianxiety medication.

From her purse police seized more suspected crack that was in containers and baggies, as well as additional prescription pills, a baggie of suspected marijuana and an assortment of drug contraband, including a scale. Officers also found the opioid antidote Narcan in the purse.

During their investigation officers also found Post with another woman's debit card and Social Security card. The owner told police that she believed Post had stolen the cards from her home in Butler.

She pleaded to felony possession with intent to distribute cocaine in that case.

On Aug. 11, Post was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Butler police filed those charges after officers responded to a suspicious woman near a vehicle at 700 S. Main St., Butler. It was then found Post was wanted on a warrant for the previous incident and arrested. A search of her purse turned up several bags of assorted pills, a crack pipe, several syringes, crack cocaine, a baggie of cocaine, heroin stamp bags, a scale, cooking spoons, razor blades, baggies and two cell phones.

Inside the vehicle, syringes, a crack pipe, a scale, a pill bottle with pills, a Suboxone strip and a baggie of crack cocaine were found, police said.

She pleaded to felony possession with intent to distribute cocaine in that case.

Post was then charged with felony retail theft after an incident at Walmart at the Butler Commons on Sept. 14.

Butler Township police said Post and another woman were caught failing to scan a bottle of pop and a camp light, valued at combined $5.28, at the self-checkout register, according to court documents.

Post has three prior shoplifting convictions, making this count a felony, to which she pleaded.

She was then charged alongside four other people — two of them her siblings — with operating a methamphetamine lab at 309 W. Cunningham St., Butler, on Nov. 7.

She was charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine, operating a methamphetamine lab, risking a catastrophe, conspiracy and possessing methamphetamine precursors, as well as misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

City officers, aided by Butler Township police and the state police clandestine lab team, seized potentially dangerous and hazardous materials used to cook methamphetamine.

Also confiscated was suspected meth, heroin, crack cocaine and marijuana, as well as other contraband including more than 100 syringes and a scale.

Arrested were Post and Christopher R. Bedner, 51, who both live at the home; and Post's brothers, Jonah Post, 34, and Jesse J. Post, 37, both of Waterford, Erie County; and Thomas J. Clark, 25, of Butler.

A reported fight led to the raid after a victim reported being jumped and robbed of his cell phone and reported that the tenants of the apartments were making meth.

The informant related that a woman he knew as “Sarah” was “making meth and selling meth and heroin” from the apartment, police said.

She pleaded guilty to felony manufacturing methamphetamine, operating a methamphetamine lab and conspiracy in that case.

In a fifth case, Post was charged with summary driving on a suspended license on July 2, and was sentenced to 60 days in Butler County Prison, with 60 days time served credit, and a $500 fine.
