Butler, Freeport, Seneca Valley boys golf teams cruise to wins: Roundup
Levi McClellan led the day with a 35 as Butler boys golf beat Beaver 193-201 Friday afternoon at Slippery Rock Golf Club. Karsten Lenyk and Eli Snyder gave the Golden Tornado (11-4, 6-4 section) rounds of 36 and 38, respectively.
Freeport 193, Deer Lakes 206 — Liam McKivigan led the Yellowjackets (12-2, 9-2 section) with a 36 at Buffalo Golf Course. Max Zigo and Brody Vogel carded a 37 and 38, respectively.
Seneca Valley 181, Central Valley 203 — Jacob Wallace and Bradley Steiner each carded 35s to lead the Raiders in a rout at Deer Trails Country Club. Every SV golfer shot under 40. Josh Marquardt was third on the team with a 36.
Butler cruised to a 5-0 sweep of Gateway without losing a set. Cassie Busler and Lindsay Lipp won the top singles matches by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores, and Noel Ernst won Singles 3 6-2, 6-3. The doubles pairs of Devan Christofano/Cassie Sklencar and Raegan Conaway/Brooke Loomis completed the sweep.
