7:09 p.m. Sunday — Tina M. Budner, 41, of Butler was arrested after she went to a home on Valley Street and allegedly threatened three people with a knife.Budner had gone to the home seeking $10 that she had previously loaned to Nicole Kelly, according to court documents.Nicole Kelly, John Kelly and Danielle Carson told police that the defendant walked into the house uninvited and demanded the money. Budner, they said, was waving a small black pocket knife with the blade open. No injuries were reported.Budner was arraigned on three counts each of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment, and charges of possessing an instrument of crime and trespass. He was placed in Butler County Prison on $3,000 bail, following arraignment.9:53 p.m. Saturday — Zachary S. Williams, 18, of New Castle was arrested after police found an illegal .22-caliber pistol in a car stopped for speeding on Route 422 about one mile east of Route 8.Police immediately became suspicious, court documents said, after officers got to the car in which Williams was riding. Police smelled marijuana, and the driver allowed police to search her car.Officers found the pistol inside a duffel bag. Williams admitted the bag was his, documents said. The serial number of the handgun had been filed off.Williams is charged with carrying a firearm without a permit and possessing a firearm with an altered serial number, both felonies.6:09 p.m. Monday — Police charged Jodi Lee Wyant, 40, of Lyndora with robbery after she allegedly injured an employee while trying to shoplift nearly $100 in items from the Wal-Mart in Butler Commons.Store security spotted Wyant hiding store items in her purse, according to court documents. She is accused of using a pocket knife to cut open packages containing some of those items.While being detained and questioned, the suspect allegedly hip checked a security officer and then flailed her arms around, hitting assistant manager Shawn Corah in the left jaw. Corah suffered a minor injury.Wyant, meanwhile, made one more unsuccessful bid to get away, police said, but in doing so elbowed Corah, knocking the manager to the floor.In addition to robbery, she is charged with possessing instruments of crime, retail theft and two counts of harassment.
3:51 p.m. Wednesday — Cars driven by Thelma, Painter, 86, of Butler and Jason D. Christy, 28, of Kittanning collided on Route 356 in Jefferson Township. Christy, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered a minor injury. Police said Painter was cited for a lane violation.1:45 p.m. Tuesday — Justin L. Olson, 26, of Connoquenessing faces criminal charges after he allegedly struck 51-year Mark A. Angerett at Angerett's home on Stevenson Road home in Connoquenessing Township. Olson was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment, and placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.11:10 p.m. Monday — Jason E. Vogan, 37, of Boyers was hurt when he lost control of his sport utility vehicle and rolled over down an embankment on Route 308 in Marion Township. Vogan, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.
10:50 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Ethan S. Cadamore, 19, of Freeport struck a guide wire after the front left tire blew out on Route 28 about one mile south of Exit 13 in East Deer Township, Allegheny County. The car spun out and hit the guide wire a second time.
4:58 p.m. Wednesday — Jamie L. Rouse, 47, of Grove City was hurt when the sport utility vehicle he was driving crashed into a ditch on Route 258 near Courtney Mill Road in Liberty Township. Rouse, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a lane violation.9:35 a.m. Wednesday — Alexis N. Turner, 18, of Grove City was taken to the hospital after she lost control of her car and crashed on Route 413 in Pine Township. The car ended on its roof.Turner, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated at Grove City Medical Center for moderate injuries. Police said she was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Saturday — An unknown thief used a counterfeit $100 bill to buy merchandise at the Famous Footwear store at Premium Outlets in Springfield Township.
