9:40 a.m. Tuesday — Christine Petrarulo, 28, of Butler was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue. Petrarulo was a passenger in the car that was stopped because the driver did not have a license.Police searched Petrarulo after they learned she was wanted by state police on an arrest warrant in connection with a May 21 break-in in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County. The search turned up three syringes and numerous stamp bags of suspected heroin. She was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.Petrarulo was placed in the Armstrong County Jail for the warrant on charges of burglary and theft. She remains jailed on $10,000 bail.Meanwhile, Stevona S. Morgan, 18, of Butler, the driver of the car that Petrarulo was in, was cited for not having a license.
Tuesday — A Garmin global positioning system device, about 15 compact discs, cigarettes and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a Jeep Wrangler parked in front of Old Plank Estates. The thief sliced open the rear window to get into the vehicle.Monday — Police charged Zachary S. Frobe, 23, of Lyndora with last week's break-in of his neighbor's home in the 300 block of Main Street. Frobe is accused of entering Brianna Kradel's home through an unlocked kitchen window Thursday evening and taking $4,700.Another neighbor told police that while he was on his porch around the time of the suspected crime, he saw Frobe walk out the front door of Kradel's house, according to court documents. That neighbor reportedly knew Kradel was not at home.District Judge Kevin O'Donnell issued an arrest warrant for Frobe on charges of burglary, trespass, theft and receiving stolen property, all felonies.
Tuesday — An unidentified tractor-trailer struck and damaged a gas meter and landscaping at the Portersville Bible Church on East Portersville Road in Portersville. Police believe the unknown driver was pulling out of the church parking lot and then traveled east on Route 488 without stopping after the crash.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.11:12 p.m. Monday — Two teenagers were hurt in a one-car crash on Interstate 79 just north of Pfeifer Road in Muddy Creek Township. The wreck happened after Joshua M. Craig, 18, of Andover, Ohio, lost control of his car, hit a guardrail and rolled over before landing on its wheels.Craig and his passenger, Austin A. Simmons, 19, of Pittsburgh, both suffered minor injuries; neither was wearing a seat belt.Craig was cited for a lane violation, driving without a license, driving without insurance and not wearing a seat belt.Monday — Several catalytic converters were stolen from John Garvin Auto Salvage and Scrap Yard in Winfield Township. The theft happened between Saturday and Monday.Monday — An unknown thief stole the rims and tires of a car at Mt. Chestnut Auto on Route 422 in Franklin Township. The theft occurred between Saturday and Monday.5:45 a.m. Sunday — Barry L. Laube, 43, of Zelienople was hurt when he lost control of his car, struck a large rock and overturned on Eagle Mill Road just south of Ragan Road in Connoquenessing Township. Laube, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries. He was cited for a lane violation.Friday — Police cited John T. Robinson, 23, of Sarver for trespass by vehicle after he allegedly tore up a yard with his vehicle about 11:20 p.m. July 6 on Cliff Lane in Winfield TownshipJuly 17 — Someone stole a Garmin global positioning system device and money from a car at a Nazarene Lane Home in Franklin Township. The car was broken into between July 15 and 17.
3 p.m. Tuesday — An unknown thief made off with a Grove City woman's Apple iPhone at the Aldi's store on Route 58 in Pine Township.
Sunday — The second story of First National Bank at Pine Grove Square was damaged with graffiti at some point over the weekend. Police noted that the vandalized area of the building has no access other than a ladder. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925
