July 6 — Rodney D. Rosen, 54, of Butler, was charged with simple assault following a June 24 fight between two men on North Washington Street in Butler.Police said Rosen went to his brother's house during an argument. Police said his brother answered with a bat, and Rosen took it and hit his brother in the shoulder with it before causing damage to a nearby PVC pipe.July 6 — Anna M. Beebe, 35, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense, controlled substance DUI, stemming from a welfare check on a driver in Butler Township.Police said they found Beebe slumped over the wheel in her vehicle at the intersection of Pittsburgh Pike and Route 8. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and a later blood test showed clonazepam, meth, EDDP, morphine, fentanyl and norfentanyl in their system.July 4 — Isaiah DeVaughn, 24, of Butler, was charged with reckless endangerment following a 911 report of shots fired on Liberty Street.Police said during an interview with officers, DeVaughn admitted to shooting in the air to break up an argument among six other people.June 28 — Tiffany A. Taylor, 32, of Butler, was charged with corruption of minors, related to a June 8 domestic disturbance call on West Wayne Street.Police said two children claimed Taylor offered and let them smoke marijuana out of a wax vaporizer. Police said when confronted, Taylor said the children may have accidentally smoked it when it fell out of her pocket.
July 6 — Jeremy J. Rivera, 30, of Slippery Rock, was charged with felony retail theft, related to items stolen May 25 from Walmart in Butler Township.Police said Myers picked up two air conditioners. Police said for one Rivera swapped out the price tag, and the other he never paid for.Police said the theft resulted in a net loss of about $100 for Walmart. They said Rivera, when contacted, claimed not to remember the incident. Police said he has four prior retail theft convictions.July 6 — Charges were filed against Timothy M. Foran, 18, of Butler, for retail theft, related to fireworks stolen from Walmart July 6.Police said Foran loaded about $260 worth of fireworks into a cart and walked out of the store.July 6 — Charges were filed against George T. Honeycutt, 43, of Butler, for possession of a controlled substance, a small amount of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.Police said a search warrant performed on Honeycutt found two prescription bottles of marijuana, a yellow and green container of marijuana and two stamp bags of suspected heroin.10:28 p.m. July 3 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Meridian Road in Butler Township.Police said Elaine Ritzert, 60, of Butler, was making a right hand turn from Cupps Road onto Meridian Road. Police said another driver Logan Orloski, 19, of Butler, failed to stop, grazed a speed limit sign and sideswiped Ritzert's vehicle.No injuries were reported.4:33 p.m. July 2 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash at an intersection on McCalmont Road.Police said Ashton Early, 35, of Butler, was coming to a stop at a stoplight in her Ford F-150 when she was struck from behind by a Ram 1500 being driven by Peter Donnelly, 61, of Butler.Early had her 7-year-old daughter in the back seat, but there were no injuries recorded at the scene. The Ram 1500 was towed.July 1 — Charges were filed against Jasmine N. Thorpe, 25, of Butler, and Leighton O. Thorpe, 29, of Butler, for retail theft, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy, related to a June 13 theft from the Walmart in Butler Township.Police said the two stole about $510 worth of goods from the store.11:13 a.m. June 29 — Police responded to a report of a dog left in a hot vehicle in the Ollie's parking lot.Police identified the dog owner as Christina Harbison, and cited her for animal cruelty.8:02 p.m. June 25 — Police responded to a reported hit-and-run on Meridian Road in Butler Township.Police said following their investigation, they charged Bruce Finkle, 62, of Portersville with hit-and-run, careless driving and speeding. Police said Finkle's vehicle rear-ended another vehicle.
July 6 — Isaiah D. Myers, 24, of Parker, was charged with felony criminal trespass, related to a July 5 disturbance in the neighborhood along West Eldorado Road in Parker Township.Police said neighbors claimed a man was wandering the neighborhood, yelling at children, kicking dogs and knocking on people's doors.Police said the caretaker of one of the residents told officers Myers entered their client's home without permission.Police said they found Myers yelling and screaming in the woods. They said he matched the description of the reports, and was drunk and behaving erratically.
