July 14 — John W. Brown, 62, of Valencia, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, related to a domestic dispute on Joe Lane in Adams Township.Police said Brown's girlfriend awoke to hear and see Brown hitting the dog in the back with a walking cane. She told officers Brown then hit her in the face with the cane. Police said they saw bruising and swelling on her face.The girlfriend also told officers that Brown then pointed a .380-caliber pistol at her and threatened to shoot her. Police said she handed the gun to them, claiming she was able to get it away from Brown before they arrived.July 12 — George T. Martin III, 20, of Valencia, was charged with reckless endangerment, firing a gun onto a road, disorderly conduct and two counts of giving alcohol to minors, stemming from a June 12 report of shots being fired on Camp Trees Road.Police said while driving to the incident, they spotted three men walking on the road, one of whom, Martin, was carrying a rifle. Police said Martin told officers he had been shooting the gun at his house, and then walked up the road and was shooting blindly and randomly into the treeline.Police said they found multiple casings and evidence corroborating Martin's story. Police said Martin also admitted to giving alcohol to the two guests he had with him throughout the evening.July 12 — Peter W. Craig, 28, of Allison Park, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a July 3 traffic stop on Mars Valencia Road in Adams Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for malfunctioning lights. Police said field sobriety tests showed Craig was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.187%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.July 9 — Monica L. Dahlkemper, 55, of Gibsonia, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a May 15 vehicle crash on Route 228 in Adams Township.Police found Dahlkemper was the driver of one of the vehicles. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired. Police said a later blood test showed amphetamine in her system.

July 12 — Wesley H. Frank Jr., 37, of Butler, was charged with theft, related to money stolen from his sister.Police said Frank's sister let Frank into her house to retrieve clothes he left there, and after he left it was discovered her son's change bank was missing. The bank contained about $300.July 9 — Megan L. Gibson, 32, was charged with hindering apprehension regarding an attempted arrest for a man with whom she was living.Police said Gibson lied when she answered the door and said the man wasn't there. Police later received a search warrant, found the man and arrested him from the home the two shared.July 9 — Melanie A. Werner, 45, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI following a May 9 vehicle crash on Walker Avenue in Butler.Police said Walker fled from the scene of the two-vehicle crash. Police said they later caught up with Werner on Mackey Avenue, and field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.

1:35 p.m. July 17 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 356 in Butler Township.Police said that while driving his vehicle, Michael Budner Sr., 51, of Cabot, hit the rear bumper of another vehicle driven by Letitia Starkey, 31, of Butler. No injuries were reported.7:19 a.m. July 17 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Route 8 in Butler Township.Police said they found an abandoned vehicle at the scene, but later found Terry A. Graham, 49, of Butler, in Pullman Plaza. Police said the vehicle was registered to Graham, and they believed he was intoxicated.Police said Graham was uncooperative with breath tests and later refused to have his blood tested. Police charged Graham with a first-offense DUI, along with five traffic violations.6:06 p.m. July 12 — Police reported to a two-vehicle crash on Route 68 in Butler Township.Police said a 16-year-old Chicora boy hit another vehicle driven by Rebekah Aust, 44, of Butler. Both drivers were assessed and released at the scene.

July 9 — Mark W. Shearer Jr., 49, of Butler, was charged with terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct, related to a July 6 report of threats.Police said Shearer's wife said Shearer was threatening her following her filing for divorce. Police said in one voicemail, Shearer said, “I will blow your (expletive) brains out (expletive.)”

8:02 a.m. July 18 — Police were called to investigate a stolen street sign.Police said the sign was taken from Pine Haven Drive in Clearfield Township, and it may have been taken between 9 p.m. July 17 and 8 a.m. July 18.Police said the sign is valued at about $120, and anyone with information is asked to contact police at the Butler barracks at 724-284-8100.6:58 a.m. July 17 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.Police said they cited Kelly A. Jesudason, 29, of Portersville, for speeding after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a second vehicle driven by Christopher A. Thomas, 27, of Butler. No injuries were reported.9:01 p.m. July 16 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on North Main Street in Center Township. Police said Hanna M. Brown, 22, of Butler, hit a deer.7:15 p.m. July 15 — Police responded to a one-vehicle crash on Main Street in Prospect.Police said Jacob J. Rettig, 22, of Prospect, was taken by ambulance to a hospital for injuries suffered in the crash after he drove off the right side of the road and crashed into a ditch.Police said the vehicle then rolled onto its roof, which crushed into the passenger compartment.July 13 — Destiny S. Stemmerich, 26, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a May 26 traffic stop on Route 8 in Clay Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle because its owner, Stemmerich, had an expired license and expired inspection. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired, and Stemmerich later refused to have her blood tested.July 13 — Cole L. Beachem, 26, of West Sunbury, was charged with a first-offense DUI, stemming from a July 5 traffic stop on Sunset Drive in Center Township.Police said they stopped the vehicle for a broken brake light and failure to use a turn signal. Police said field sobriety tests showed Beachem was impaired, and a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content was 0.171%. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08% is considered intoxicated.July 13 — Bryce H. Dick, 20, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI as a minor following a one-vehicle crash July 1 on Freeport Road in Summit Township.Police said Dick smelled of marijuana and alcohol, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired. Police said a later breath test showed his blood-alcohol content at 0.161%.July 12 — Vanessa L. Peffer, 19, of Cranberry Township, was charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, related to a domestic dispute on Spithaler School Road in Forward Township.Police said a woman told officers Peffer was attempting to borrow her vehicle, despite the woman saying she was not allowed to. Police said Peffer then backed the truck into the woman before driving away.11:23 a.m. July 11 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township.Police said they cited Fawn E. McDaniel, 46, of Duquesne, after she crashed her vehicle into the rear of another driven by Charles N. Mandarino, 27, of Pittsburgh. Police said no injuries were reported in the crash.July 11 — Albert J. Brackley, 56, of Butler, was charged with possessing a controlled substance, stemming from a June 12 traffic stop on South Monroe Street in Butler.Police said they stopped the motorcycle for failing to stop at a stop sign. Police said Brackley had a warrant for his arrest, and that while he was being arrested they found crack cocaine in his pocket.8:33 p.m. July 9 — Police arrested and charged Joseph M. Pushak, 43, of Cranberry Township, with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, related to a domestic dispute at his home on Hill Top Road in Connoquenessing Township.Police said Pushak's girlfriend told officers that he had grabbed her and pushed her, causing bruising on her arms and shoulders.The girlfriend also told officers that Pushak told her not to contact police or he would kill her.Police said Pushak had a .45-caliber pistol on him at the time of the incident, which was seized following his arrest.
