4:12 p.m. Monday — An unknown vandal cut the window screen of a home in the 400 block of Opre Avenue.Monday — An unknown thief stole a 5-foot high cardboard cutout marketing sign from the front entrance at the Northwest Savings Bank on Center Street. The sign, valued at $250, was taken between 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.6:05 a.m. Saturday — A motion alarm sent police to the Medicine Shoppe on West Main Street for a possible burglary at the drug store. Officers found a broken window but no suspects.Police did not immediately know if anything was taken from the pharmacy. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 724-458-7925

1:20 p.m. Tuesday — Nathan Lee Klein, 26, of Harrisville is accused of assaulting a couple at their Golden Pond Road in Mercer Township. Police said Klein is charged with simple assault and harassment. A police report did not say if the alleged victims, Andrew W. Kiester, 21, and Alysia Klein, 19, were injured.Monday — About $240 of firewood was stolen since July 1 from property on South Clearfield Road in Clearfield Township.4 a.m. Sunday — One woman is accused of stabbing another during a fight in the area of Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township. Billie Jean Dawson, 24, of Chicora told police that she and the unknown suspect were arguing when the other woman pulled out a knife and cut her right forearm.Police said the suspect is white and in her late 20s, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 140 pounds, with brown hair.12:25 a.m. Sunday — Bradley A, Scherer, 29, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Spring Street in Chicora.1:03 p.m. Saturday — Timmy L. Wolfe, 38, of Butler lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree after a deer ran into the side of the vehicle on Shannon Road near Camp Fatima Road in Connoquenessing Township.1:58 a.m. Saturday — William T. Black, 47, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 528 in Franklin Township.Friday — An unknown burglar stole a 35-year-old gas generator, engine and a black anvil from a locked building on Slater Road in Allegheny Township. The break-in and theft occurred between July 1 and Friday.12:38 p.m. Sept. 9 — A car driven by Trent T. Wolfgram, 19, of Butler struck a tree and metal fence post along West Liberty Road near Old Route 8 in Brady Township. Police said Wolfgram faces charges of careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.10:32 p.m. Sept. 7 — Two people were hurt when Timothy J. Rodgers, 17, of Chicora lost control of his car and rear-ended another car on Main Street in Karns City. Rodgers and his passenger, Katie Furl, 19, suffered moderate injuries; they were treated at hospitals in Butler and Armstrong counties. Police said Rodgers was cited for a lane violation.Sept. 5 — William E. Ritchey, 51, of West Sunbury was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 68 in Chicora.Aug. 23 — John A. Hilliard, 21, of Fenelton was arrested for suspicion of DUI after a one-car crash on Chicora-Fenelton Road in Donegal Township.

11:50 a.m. Tuesday — Cars driven by Wallie Myers, 89, of Sligo and Patricia Elder, 75, of Rimersburg collided in a construction zone on Route 322 near Whitehill Road in Ashland Township. Elder was treated at Clarion Hospital for minor injuries.

Monday — Someone broke into a garage and stole a purple and silver, 2004 Suzuki Intruder motorcycle. The burglary on Route 268 in Sugar Creek Township occurred between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

6:50 p.m. Saturday — Two drivers face charges stemming from a case of suspected road rage on Route 19 in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.James McMillen, 52, of New Castle and Eric Zawoysky, 26, of Bloomsdale, Ohio, were involved in the vehicular altercation for one mile, a police report said, with both vehicles "engaged in careless driving and episodes of following too closely."The incident ended in a rear-end collision. Police said both drivers face traffic tickets well as a criminal charge of disorderly conduct.
