Butler PoliceSunday — Seph A. Schlobohm, 29, of Butler was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his stepfather, Timothy Fornadley, during a domestic dispute at a home in the 100 block of Zeigler Avenue.Schlobohm got angry when Fornadley would not let him borrow a vehicle, according to court documents. He is accused of punching the victim in the face several times. Fornadley suffered a back left eye, blurred vision, bloody nose and a swollen lip.The suspect was arraigned on a charge of simple assault and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail.June 6 — Sara Beth Johnson, 22, of Greenville, Mercer County, was arrested on four warrants after police found her at College and North Monroe streets.Following her arrest, police searched her and found two used syringes, a crack pipe and several empty stamp bags of suspected heroin.All four warrants were issued May 13 after Johnson failed to appear for court hearings in connection with 2015 cases of hindering apprehension or prosecution, hit-and-run and possession of drug paraphernalia, retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.She was placed in the Butler County Prison following her arrest.
Butler Township Police6:23 p.m. Sunday — Benjamin L. Cahall, 34, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting $367 worth of merchandise at the Butler Commons’ Walmart. Cahall is charged with retail theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.5:01 p.m. Sunday — Robert J. McLaughlin, 26, of Prospect was stopped on Route 356 driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device. Police cited him for driving without the court-ordered device as well as driving without a license and driving without valid inspection.Monday — Police reported that David Krason, 67, of Butler was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop at 4:22 p.m. May 29 on Whitestown Road. In addition of driving under the influence, Krason is charged with disregarding traffic lanes and careless driving.4:26 p.m. Friday — Christina Zarnick, 32, and Justin Zarnick, 32, both of Butler, were arrested on warrants following a shoplifting incident at the Giant Eagle at Moraine Pointe Plaza.Christina Zarnick is accused of taking $21.51 worth of merchandise from the store. Police later learned both suspects were wanted on warrants.
Grove City Police1:41 a.m. Sunday — Grant Gilhausen, 26, of Polk, Venango County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on North Broad Street. In addition to DUI, police cited Gilhausen for careless driving.Thursday — Prescription medication was stolen from a woman’s home in the 300 block of North Broad Street. The unspecified medication was taken between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning. A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects.
State Police, Butler6:12 a.m. Monday — Honore G. Boyle, 26, of Butler lost control of her car and struck an embankment before ending in a ditch on Carbon Center Road just east of Game Reserve Road in Clearfield Township. Police cited Boyle for disregarding traffic lanes.Sunday — A burglar did not score much loot after breaking into a house in Jefferson Township. Stolen from the woman’s home in the 900 block of North Pike Road were three packs of cigarettes, about $37 in currency, a hammer and a broken door knob.A police report did not indicate if there are any suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-184-8100.
State Police, Clarion2 a.m. Sunday — A 26-year-old Wexford man accidentally shot himself in his stomach area while target practicing at a camp on Bender Lane in Jenks Township, Forest County.Tyson M. Stupy was driven to Clarion Hospital in a private vehicle before being taken to a Pittsburgh hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.Police said Stupy was target shooting in dim lighting conditions when a bullet deflected off a metal target and hit him in the abdomen. The 9 mm round had to be removed from him.Investigators ruled the shooting accidental and no charges were filed.
State Police, New Castle6 p.m. Sunday — Daniel H. Watt, 28, of New Castle was arrested in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, after leading police on a chase in a stolen truck.Police said the chase started when they spotted Watt on Route 108 in Scott Township. He refused to stop until driving onto Muddy Creek Road in Slippery Rock Township, where he bailed out of the truck and ran off.Troopers arrested Watt a short time later. He was arraigned on felony charges of receiving stolen property, flight to avoid apprehension and fleeing or attempting to elude police.Additionally, he is charged with hit-and-run, accidents involving injury, driving with a suspended license, driving a vehicle without valid inspection, illegal use of a license plate, failing to keep right, disregarding traffic lanes, driving too fast for conditions and four counts of reckless driving.Watt was placed in the Lawrence County Jail on $10,000 bail following arraignment.
