1:13 a.m. Sunday — Walter C. Jordan II, 34, and his wife, Stacey J. Jordan, 33, were both arrested after a domestic dispute at their home in the 200 block of Howard Street left them bumped, bruised and bloodied.Walter Jordan told police that his wife kicked him the face. Stacey Jordan said her husband punched her in the face. Police said both husband and wife had been drinking.The suspects were both arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment. Each was placed in Butler County Prison on $1,500 bail.7:38 p.m. Wednesday — Jarrid R. Decock, 33, was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, 27-year-old Dina Flint of Butler, during a domestic dispute at his home in the 100 block of West Brady Street.Police said that a search turned up a capped syringe in Decock's pocket. He was arraigned on charges of simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia, and placed in Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail.2:05 p.m. May 31 — An unknown driver crashed a vehicle into a wooden fence at a home on the 400 block of East Pearl Street. The driver did not stop. The fence had about $2,500 in damage in the hit-and-run crash.3:28 p.m. May 30 — Joshua D. Good, 27, of Butler was arrested on a nearly year-old arrest warrant on North Main Street. The warrant for Good was issued to city police June 26, 2013, stemming from a misdemeanor assault case.Good was arraigned on the charge of simple assault, and released on his own recognizance.12:45 p.m. May 23 — William M. McCandless, 26, allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Jennifer L. Smith of Eau Claire, at his home in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue.Police later arrested McCandless, who was arraigned on a charge of simple assault. He is free on his own recognizance.10:42 p.m. May 22 — Eighty-one-year-old Shirley J. Maire of Butler and her husband were wrapping up a night of bingo at the Cubs Hall when Rosselynn M. Brace, 44, of Butler asked the couple for a ride. The Maires agreed.They drove Brace to South Chestnut and West Wayne streets, where they left her off. Shirley Maire later discovered $70 was missing from her coin purse that was on the floor of the rear seat, where Brace was seated.Police subsequently found Brace, who was arrested and arraigned on a charge of theft from a vehicle. She is free on her own recognizance,May 19 — A portable DVD player was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Eau Claire Street. The property, valued at $25, was taken between May 17 and 19.
Monday — Police charged Scott B. Weston, 32, with violating Megan's Law after they found that between May 10 and 30 he was living in Cabot instead of the Lyndora address that he had registered with state police.Weston is charged with failing to comply with registration of sexual offenders requirements.Friday — Amanda S. Edington, 26, is accused of failing to notify authorities that her boyfriend, 25-year-old Chester E. Dietrich of Butler, who was wanted on warrants, was staying at her apartment at Old Plank Estates.Police said Edington knew that a state constable was looking for Dietrich in connection with the warrants. Edington is charged with hindering apprehension. Police also cited Dietrich for trespass.Friday — A vandal damaged all 17 light bulbs inside the pavilion at the Meridian Veterans Club. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.
Friday — Police charged Lawrence R. Sadowski, 30, of Zelienople with driving under the influence of solvents stemming from an April 17 crash wreck at the Cranberry Mall on Route 19.Sadowski was high from huffing aerosol duster about 5:10 a.m. when he crashed a friend's sport utility pole into the loading dock at the Bath, Bed & Beyond store, according to a police report.A witness told police that moments before the wreck, Sadowski ran a red light at Route 19 and Freedom Road. Officers got there and found in the vehicle two cans of compressed air dust remover that appeared to have been recently used, police said.The suspect was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry for a blood test, which later showed the presence of toxic chemical from the duster.In addition to DUI, Sadowski is charged with careless driving, a red light violation and driving with a suspended license.
Sunday — Roger Schwanbeck, 59, of Mercer suffered minor injuries when a vehicle struck him in a Grove City Memorial Park parking lot. Gary Diebold, 63, of New Castle was driving the vehicle.
8:31 a.m. Monday — Patrick B. Thelemaque, 58, address unknown, suffered minor injuries when he lost control of his car and struck a landscaping stone at Friedman's supermarket on North Main Street at East Drive in Chicora. He claimed the accident happened when he swerved his car to avoid a deer on the road.Police cited Thelemaque for a lane violation and not wearing a seat belt.6:20 a.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Karen L. Lewis, 55, of Butler struck an embankment and cement culvert on Fisher Road in Jefferson Township.June 1 — A black and chrome Apple iPod was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 200 block of Reibold Road in Forward Township. The theft happened between 10 p.m. May 30 and noon June 1.May 31 — A thief stole a 100-foot garden hose on Grant Street in East Butler. The hose, which belongs to a 61-year-old woman, was taken between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.10:50 p.m. May 30 — A vandal smashed a mailbox at a home in the 700 block of Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township.
Monday — Police charged Frank A. Hunsberger, 49, of Emlenton with drunken driving after he stopped to urinate about 2:45 a.m. May 13 on Interstate 80 in Worth Township, Mercer County.In addition to driving under the influence, police charged Hunsberger with illegally parking on a highway and careless driving.
2:36 p.m. May 27 — A tractor-trailer driven by Timothy J. Kremin, 38, of Butler was rear-ended by a car on Interstate 376 in Union Township.The accident happened when the other driver, Robin A. Collins, 50, of New Castle, got distracted by a bee in the car. Collins, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. She was not cited in the accident.
