1:54 p.m. Monday — Eric S. Delaney, 40, of Butler suffered an injury when a car hit his motorcycle at Franklin and East Brady streets.

The low-speed accident happened when the other driver, Dajah L. Townsend, 21, of Butler, pulled around a mail truck and “bumped” into the cycle, according to a police report. The bike was knocked to the road.

Delaney, who was not wearing a helmet, complained of leg pain. He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. His wife, Jamie D. Delaney, 39, a passenger on the cycle, was not injured.

Monday — Rachel E. Ross, 24, of Butler was charged with an Aug. 10 theft at the Alameda Park pool. She is accused of taking another person’s clothing — a pair of shorts and tank top valued at $75.

Ross is charged with a second-degree misdemeanor count of theft.

Friday — Police charged Alonzo J. Fleischer Jr., 22, of Butler and Tera L. Callihan, 31, of Chicora with retail theft from an alleged shoplifting incident earlier this month at Walmart at Butler Commons. They are accused of stealing a television valued at $198 on Aug. 4.

Both defendants are charged with misdemeanor counts of retail theft and conspiracy.

10:07 a.m. Aug. 15 — A fight at the Sheetz store on New Castle Road landed Brittany R. Hosack, 26, and Samantha A. Maseroni, 27, both of Butler, in trouble with the law. Police cited both women with disorderly conduct and harassment.

9:11 a.m. Tuesday — A man suffered apparent minor injuries when the car he was driving rolled over in the 500 block of Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township. Police are investigating but an accident report, including the man’s name, was not immediately available.

Slippery Rock volunteer firefighters and ambulance assisted at the scene.

The driver, who was alone in the car, was able to get out on his own. An ambulance crew tended to the man.

2:10 p.m. Monday — Lydia L. Wayman, 29, of Zelienople was hurt in a one-car accident on Forward Township. The wreck happened when Dawn M. Mangus, 45, of Zelienople swerved the car to avoid a deer and grazed two trees along Brownsdale Road just east of Glade Run Road.

Wayman, a passenger, suffered a minor injury. She was wearing a seat belt.

2:40 a.m. Sunday — Charles W. Burgess, 43, was arrested after he allegedly choked his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at his home on Patton Road in Marion Township.

The victim, Alicia Linger, told police that she and Burgess had been arguing in a camper at the property when he used his hands to choke her, according to court documents. She went into the home, He followed her inside.

The defendant, she recounted, then pushed her to the floor, causing her to suffer a “large superficial wound to the left forearm,” documents said.

Burgess was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.

Thursday — LeRoy J. Reed III, 22, of Parker was charged with drugged driving stemming from a traffic stop last month in Fairview Township. Police said they stopped him about 1 p.m. July 4 on Chicora Road for having an expired registration.

Reed was arrested after failing field sobriety tests. A search of his car turned up two marijuana grinders and a marijuana pipe, court documents said.

He was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for a blood test, which confirmed he had marijuana in his system, police said.

Reed is charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving a vehicle without insurance, driving a vehicle without valid inspection and failing to immediately notify authorities of a change of address.

1:08 a.m. Thursday — A 24-year-old woman, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 south in North Buffalo Township. Police said charges are pending lab results.

10:23 a.m. Friday — Two young men landed behind bars for alleged felony drug possession and other charges following a traffic stop on Center Church Road in Pine Township.

Police suspected the driver, Cameron R. Gregg, 19, of Grove City, was impaired on drugs. A search of his vehicle turned up suspected marijuana, packaging materials and a scale, according to a police report.

Gregg’s passenger, Mark A. Cresswell, 20, of Mercer, was also found with suspected marijuana as well as a gun, which he admitted to previously stealing from a vehicle the previous evening in Mercer, police said.

Gregg was arraigned on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and two traffic violations.

Cresswell was arraigned on felony charges of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, theft and receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor charges of carrying firearm without a concealed carry license, theft from a vehicle, and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Both defendants were placed in the Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bail each following arraignment.
