1:35 p.m. July 18 — Two Butler teenagers were charged with harassment and disorderly conduct following an incident on Thornwood Drive in Butler Township. Austin Ehrman, 18, of Butler and another male, 16, of Butler hit a 14-year-old female, of Butler with an egg from a moving vehicle while she was on a run. She sustained minor injuries following being hit by the egg.

4:40 p.m. Friday — A two-vehicle accident happened Thursday on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. Mark Borcz, 31, of Butler was driving a Toyota Camry east on Route 68 when the Camry rear-ended a Subaru Legacy being driven by Ann McCandless, 64, of Butler. Both Borcz and McCandless had suspected minor injuries. Borcz was cited for following too closely.

4 p.m. Thursday — A one-vehicle accident happened on Route 68 in Oakland Township. Kaleb Young, 18, of Karns City was driving a Jeep Liberty east on Route 68 when the vehicle overcompensated a right curve in the road and drove off the right side of the road.

The Jeep hit a mailbox and bushes, followed by a tree, before it stopped. The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

Young suffered minor neck injuries but was not transported to a hospital. He was cited for driving right of the road.

12:50 a.m. July 21 — A two-vehicle accident happened on Route 68 in Oakland Township.

A 16-year-old female, of Chicora was driving a Ford Escape south on Seven Hills Road and stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Route 68.

However, she then drove into the intersection and was hit by a Lincoln Town Car being driven by Andrew Lindsay, 27, of Butler, who was heading east on Route 68.

The 16-year-old female and Lindsay were not injured. Lindsay’s passenger, Jessica Mrozoski, 28, of Butler sustained a minor injury but was not transported to a hospital.

The Escape and the Town Car both sustained moderate damage. The 16-year-old female was cited for failing to heed a stop sign/yield sign.

2:31 a.m. July 8 — A Butler man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following an incident on North Main Street in Clay Township. Ryan Livingston, 30, was stopped by police for a summary violation. Livingston underwent standardized field sobriety tests, which indicated he was impaired.

June 4 — Oakwood Tavern, at 108 S. Jefferson St. in Kittanning, Pa., was cited Friday for a loudspeaker violation, and selling to a visibly intoxicated person, following an incident in June.

The tavern was cited for using or permitting the use of a loudspeaker or similar device at a noise level that could be heard beyond the licensee’s property line.

The tavern also was cited for selling, furnishing and/or giving or permitting the sale of alcoholic beverages to a minor.

The tavern was noted that the charges will be brought before an administrative law judge, who can levy fines of between $50 and $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.

The judge also has the authority to suspend or revoke a liquor license based on the severity of a charge, as well as the authority to require training for the licensee so they are educated on the requirements of having a liquor license.
