Sunday — Police are seeking at least two suspects in a vandalism spree on and around Old Plank Road.The vandals broke into the maintenance portion of the concession stand at Adelman Field and stole a can of spray paint that they used to paint obscenities on the outside of the building.They also walked over to a housing plan and spray painted a pickup truck with more obscenities. The suspects removed a trailer hitch from the pickup and used it to damage one of the truck's doors.Police said the incidents occurred between 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday morning. Officers found two sets of boot prints in the snow, indicating there was more than one person involved.4:09 p.m. Sunday — Two 16-year-old girls were caught allegedly shoplifting merchandise valued at a combined $160 from the Kohl's store in the Butler Crossing shopping center. Both girls were cited for retail theft, and released to their parents.9:44 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Luxe Valkyrie, 24, of Butler ran a red light and struck another vehicle at Route 68 and South Duffy Road. Police cited Valkyrie for the red light violation. Albert Martsolf, 65, of Butler was the other driver.12:45 p.m. Friday — Tanna Albright, 28, of Butler allegedly failed to scan 31 items, valued at $162, at the self check-out register at the Butler Commons' Walmart. Albright is charged with retail theft.
7 p.m. Monday — Richard J. Ealy, 22, was arrested stemming from a domestic dispute Sunday night when he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 22-year-old Alora G. Southworth, at their home in the 300 block of North Bluff Street.Southworth told police that after Ealy beat her up she went to the Grove City Medical Center for treatment of injuries suffered in the suspected assault. Police said the woman had bruising to her face, side and arms.Ealy was arrested and placed in the Butler County Prison to await arraignment this morning on a charge of simple assault.
Friday — James E. Fugh III, 36, of Mars was charged with being more than three-and-a-half times the state's legal limit for alcohol when he was pulled over shortly before 5 p.m. Dec. 30 at Route 228 and Adams Ridge Boulevard.Police searched Fugh's car and found numerous plastic bags filled with empty vodka bottles in the truck.The suspect was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry for a blood test, which showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.294 percent, court documents said. In Pennsylvania, a level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated.
Dec. 26 — Police charged Cheryl R. Vinski, 43, of Zelienople with driving under the influence stemming from a traffic stop about 5:15 p.m. Sept. 5 on Mars Evans City Road.8:09 p.m. Dec. 24 — Donna L. Palone, 51, of Evans City was arrested for drunken driving following a traffic stop on South Washington Street.A blood test later showed her blood-alcohol level was 0.274 percent, or more than triple the state's 0.08 percent legal limit, according to court documents.Palone is charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and a lane violation.
Dec. 26 — Police charged Joan A. Nist, 33, of Harmony with drunken and drugged driving stemming from a Nov. 13 traffic stop on Route 19 near Space Center Storage.Nist was arrested after she failed several field sobriety tests. A search of her conversion van turned up an open can of beer, two empty liquor bottles and three marijuana smoking pipes.Toxicology results later showed her blood alcohol level was 0.221 percent. A level of 0.08 percent is considered intoxicated under state law. Her blood also tested positive for THC, the hallucinogen found in marijuana.In addition to driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance, Nist is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with an open container of alcohol and disregarding traffic lanes.
Saturday — A children's bicycle was found abandoned in an alley in the 300 block of Elm Street. The owner can claim the bike at the Grove City police station at 337 E. Pine St.
12:42 a.m. Dec. 27 — Janine L. Frobe, 48, of Lyndora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 south of Ann Arbor in Butler Township.State Police, ClarionDec. 31 — An unknown thief stole a tow hitch from a pickup truck at a home on Rock Lane in Toby Township. The tow hitch was taken between Dec. 22 and 31.
3:25 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Danielle K. Muir, 20, of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, struck a fence post and ditch after traveling off snow- and slush-covered Route 488 at Armstrong Road in Perry Township.
