Police Reports

The following items have been collected from various police departments and district courts:

Adams Twp

March 3 — Jacob P. McAvoy, 26, of Cranberry Township, was charged with two misdemeanors of driving under the influence after police stopped him Feb. 22 on Dori Drive. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed McAvoy’s blood alcohol content at 0.171%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Butler Twp

March 3 — Nathan Clark, 39, of Worthington, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

March 3 — Lisa Woodbrey, 51, of Butler, and Ashley Sosa, 25, of Texas, were involved in a vehicle crash at Route 356 and North Duffy Road. Police said Woodbrey’s vehicle hit Sosa’s.

March 3 — Gabriela A. Barkin, 22, of Renfrew, was charged with two misdemeanor DUIs after police stopped her March 1 on Independence Lane. Police said a breath test showed Barkin’s blood alcohol content at 0.262%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

March 2 — Trevor E. Bolte, 23, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Walmart with $275 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Evans City-Seven Fields

March 4 — Brian C. McDaniel, 40, of Cranberry, was charged with felonies burglary and criminal trespass and misdemeanor theft. Police said he entered a home without permission via the garage and took two blankets.

Slippery Rock Boro

Feb. 28 — Ashley D. Priester, 23, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor drug possession. Police said she was under the influence of methamphetamine.

State police, Butler

March 6 — Johnathan L. Wells, 30, of Indiana, was charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault and summaries harassment and disorderly conduct. Police said he choked a woman and pushed her.

March 4 — William A. Woods, 23, of Emlenton, was involved in a vehicle crash on Eau Claire Road, Marion Township. Police said he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree.

March 3 — Cody W. Vaughn, 22, of Sarver, was charged with a felony and misdemeanor of a false written statement. Police said he answered a question inaccurately when applying to purchase a firearm at Dunham’s Discount in Center Township.

March 2 — Terry K. Trent, 77, of Volant; Quentin J. Stanford, 26, of Bedford Hills; and Clare M. Doerfler, 67, of New Castle, were involved in a vehicle crash on Route 422. Police said Trent’s vehicle sideswiped Stanford’s and rear-ended Doefler’s.

March 1 — Jack Glaros, 56, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor bad checks. Police said he wrote a check of $650 with insufficient funds.

March 1 — Daniel P. Sybert, 36, of Butler, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanors of use and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said he was found in possession of methamphetamine, Xanax, marijuana, miscellaneous pills, a digital scale, packaging material and glass smoking devices.

March 1 — Kashawn L. Goldsmith, 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanors use and possession of drug paraphernalia and false identification to an officer. Police said he was found in possession of suspected cocaine.

March 1 — Stephen D. Drake, 31, of Slippery Rock, faces two misdemeanor driving under the influence charges after police stopped him on Barron Road, Worth Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed he was impaired, and a later breath test showed Drake’s blood alcohol content at 0.191%. In Pennsylvania, the legal limit is 0.08%.

Feb. 28 — Jacob R. Ruth, 23, of Harmony, was charged with misdemeanor theft. Police said he left Lowe’s with $139 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
