Police Reports
These items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
2:56 p.m. Aug. 29 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Route 356 in front of Point Plaza. Police said Robert Bedner, 69, of Butler, attempted an illegal U-turn, at which time he was hit by a a vehicle driven by Cameron Conti, 22, of Butler. Police said neither driver reported injuries.
Aug. 26 — Nicole L. Atkinson, 31, of Butler, was charged with felony retail theft after police said she stole $408 worth of items Aug. 5 from Walmart. Police said she has three previous retail theft convictions.
Aug. 26 — Jaquay Wade, 36, of Pittsburgh, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft after police said he stole $517 worth of items Aug. 23 from Walmart.
Aug. 27 — Ryan E. Charters, 35, of Pittsburgh, was charged with felony unlicensed carrying of a gun and misdemeanor retail theft after police said he stole $332 worth of items Aug. 26 from Walmart. Police said they also found him possessing a gun and a knife. Police said Charters’ concealed carry permit out of Allegheny County had been revoked.
Aug. 30 — Cris Cinicola, 25, of Beaver Falls, was charged with misdemeanor fleeing from police after police said he fled from an attempted traffic stop Aug. 24 near the intersection of Beaver and Pittsburgh streets. Police said they later discovered Cinicola also has no motorcycle license, valid insurance or inspection.
Aug. 30 — Howard L. Webb, 66, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after police stopped him July 30 on Mahood Road in Clay Township. Police said field sobriety tests showed Webb was impaired, and a later blood test showed marijuana and alcohol in his system.
Aug. 30 — Ian M. Lenhart, 29, of Ford City, was charged with misdemeanor deceptive business practices after police said he falsified a proof of funds letter from his bank during a an attempt to buy a property.
Aug. 29 — David R. Mitchell, 68, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor counts of simple assault and disorderly conduct after police said he attacked his neighbor and knocked him to the ground near their homes on Venango Trail in Slippery Rock Township.
Aug. 26 — Perry L. Lawry, 54, of New Castle, was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after police said they investigated a man lying with a bicycle in the middle of Centreville Pike, Slippery Rock Township, on Aug. 25. Police said field sobriety tests showed Lawry was impaired, and he later refused to have his breath tested.
Aug. 26 — Police said they arrested and filed charges against three people after they stole a golf cart, damaged a field and caused a drunken ruckus, among other offenses.
Joshua E. Gross, 26, of Pittsburgh; Michael J. Parker II, 24, of Pittsburgh; and Margo M. Chalmers II, 19, of Pittsburgh, all were charged with felony counts of theft and possessing stolen property, as well as misdemeanor counts of agricultural vandalism, disorderly conduct and alcohol-related offenses.
Aug. 26 — Richard J. Auther, 42, of Sarver, was charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor simple assault after police said he got into a fight with his father and at one point put him in a chokehold.
